Martin Martinez was named Interim Chief of the Natalia Police Department during a Special meeting held on Monday, March 15.
Martinez has been a patrol officer with the department since 2019 and also serves as the School Resource Officer for Natalia ISD.
Former chief James Fleming resigned from the position on March 8 following conflict with City Administrator Rene Hinojosa.
