Man bails out of vehicle in chase

Medina County DPS attempted to stop a male subject for a traffic violation on FM 471 just south of Castroville this past January 11, when he fled in his vehicle with a woman and child. After several minutes of the high speed chase, the male subject bailed out and fled on foot for a short time before being arrested. The arrest occurred near the intersection of FM 471 and Garden Street.
The male subject was booked into Medina County Jail and is charged with Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substances including Cocaine, Meth, THC, and Marijuana. He is also charged with EVADING ARREST DETENTION, ABANDON ENDANGER CHILD IMMINENT DANGER, TAMPER/FABRICATE PHYS EVID W/INTENT TO IMPAIR, and he is also in Violation of Probation for a 2016 Aggravated Robbery charge.
In the January 2019 trial for Aggravated Robbery, the male subject’s brother was sentenced to 15 years in prison, while the male subject received a 10 years Deferred Adjudication Probation instead. He and his brother both originally pled no contest to the charges of Aggravated Robbery of an Elderly Person, Count I and II which occurred in Medina County in 2016.
