The Galvan family is excited to announce they are open for business at the newly remodeled, spacious 1,200 sq ft salon in Devine! The new 888 Salon is a full service hair salon, with several stylists ready to cut, color, highlight, shampoo and style your hair to get you looking and feeling great. They also have 4 hot bubbling pedicure chairs, so you can get a manicure and pedicure as well. They are also excited to offer nails, luxurious facial packages, eyelash extensions, waxing, and much more.
Women, Men, and children are all welcome at the new salon opened by Raymond and Maria Galvan, of Devine. Hair Stylists Belinda DuBose and Liz Metz are eager to please. The house barber, owner Maria Galvan, is also ready to help.
They are offering a free head massage with every cut, so you can leave the salon feeling beautiful and relaxed!
“I cut the hair of a gentleman the other day, and when I put that hot lather and towel on him, he said ‘Oh my Gosh, that feels so good. He said he lives in San Antonio, but he will travel all the way down here to get his hair cut from now on,” Galvan said with a smile.
Galvan has created a very family-friendly, small town atmosphere with a focus on customer service, and going the extra mile.
“You’ll love our hour-long facials with the hot steam towel massage, which start at $35,” Galvan said.
“Ms. Liza Benavidez, our nail technician, always takes extra special care of her customers. That’s what I love. When she isn’t too busy, she will take the extra time and effort to throw in some of the extras without the extra costs. Like sometimes she will do a relaxing hot lava rock treatment or paraffin for a manicure or pedicure customer….just because,” Galvan said. “Another great thing is that when two people come in together, we can usually take care of them both at the same time, right away,” Galvan said. “As we continue to grow and fill up even more booths for rent, we will be able to take care of larger groups as well.”
“All of my technicians and stylists have very reasonable rates with ladies haircuts starting at $20, Hair Color starting at $55, and Basic Mani & Pedi combo starting at $40.
“I’ve been cutting hair for 30 years, and I just love it. When my customers leave they are happy, and that’s what I love most–that smile on their faces. I specialize in both women’s and men’s haircuts,” DuBose said.
Metz enjoys cutting hair, and also specializes in Cosmetology doing lashes.
“I love talking with my customers and hearing people’s stories. I don’t just fix hair, I want my customers to have a good time and leave here happier than they were when they came in. I have had my cosmetology license for 7 years, and specialize in lashes, lash extensions, lifts, and coloring.”

Veterans Discounts
One of the first things you’ll notice when you walk into the 888 Salon is the US Flag and Texas Flag proudly posted at the front desk, and they love to honor and thank our nation’s Veterans by offering $10 haircuts on Mondays.
“My husband is a Army Vietnam Veteran, and Liz is a Airforce veteran, and we love veterans! We appreciate their service,” Galvan adds.
The Galvan family has operated two barber shops in Pearsall and Lytle for years, and they will be happy to cut men’s hair too, here in Devine. The huge salon has 4 pedicure stations with hot bubbling water just waiting for your feet, and 6 hair stations.
