Lytle Police Report Oct. 5-11

Oct. 5
6:24 AM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of an alarm.
9:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a theft of 12 pack of beer. Total estimated loss $11.99.
10:20 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a disturbance in a vehicle. The vehicle was later stopped by Medina Co. SO on FM 471 at FM 463. Officer made the scene and was advised that the complainant did not want to file a complaint.
Oct. 6
5:00 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm.
7:14 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a welfare check on an individual who was resting inside his vehicle.
10:44 AM – Officer responded to 15700 Blk. of Hwy. 132 to assist Lytle Animal Control with a loose pig.
1:11 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Norvell St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle frequenting the area.
3:18 PM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Juarez St. for a report of a one vehicle crash involving a gas meter.
7:40 PM – Officers responded to 15500 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a verbal disturbance. A 39-year-old male subject was arrested on a State Parole Board Warrant (Blue Warrant). Subject was transported to Medina Co. Jail. Numerous other officers assisted.
11:02 PM – Officer responded to 18700 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a welfare check on a male subject. Officer did not find the individual home. Officer found a back door open and cleared the house.
Oct. 7
6:30 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
8:29 AM – Officer responded to 100 Blk. of CR 6843 to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a structure fire. It was determined to be an electrical fire, no major damage.
9:29 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
2:20 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of a damaged locking mechanism at the storage. The owner contacted the renter of the storage unit and advised them that nothing was missing from the unit. The estimated amount of damage to the locking mechanism is $100.
2:35 PM – Officer received a phone call about an incident that occurred at the Metro PCS. The complainant was advised that the issue at Metro PCS was civil in nature and the caller was told to contact the corporate office.
11:39 PM – Traffic stop at 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old male subject for Driving While License Invalid with No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was transported to the Atascosa Co. Jail. Officers located numerous pieces of mail and credit cards inside the vehicle. Lytle PD is working with the US Postal Inspectors in an ongoing investigation.
Oct. 8
6:50 AM – Officer responded to StarCross Trail for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:50 AM – While patrolling HEB Plus officer made contact with an employee who stated he believed the suspect did not pay for the items that were in the shopping cart. Officer issued a Criminal Trespass Notice as per HEB Plus manager.
3:36 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a fire alarm. Officer arrived, it was determined to be a false alarm.
5:52 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of N Pecan St. in reference to an incident involving identity theft.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 133 NB for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer was canceled before arrival due to Medina Co. SO locating the vehicle.
10:55 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a suspicious noise call. Officers checked the building and found signs of criminal activity.
Oct. 9
8:51 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 to assist Frio and Medina County units with a vehicle pursuit. Officers were cancelled after the vehicle was stopped in Devine.
4:05 PM – Officer assisted with unlocking a vehicle on Bruce St. @ Harbour St.
6:20 PM – Officer assisted with unlocking a vehicle on Office St.
6:32 PM – Officers responded to TX 132 to assist Median County units with a vehicle pursuit. Officers were cancelled after the vehicle was stopped in Natalia.
8:37 PM – Officers made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked behind the Best Western Plus. All was fine.
Oct. 10
12:33 AM – A traffic stop on FM 3175 @ IH 35 Access Rd. resulted in the arrest of a 49-year-old male subject on an active warrant out of Atascosa County for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Edward was booked into the ACSO Jail.
4:01 AM – A traffic stop was initiated on IH 35 Access Rd @ FM 3175 and the vehicle initially came to a stop. The driver then fled north onto IH 35. The driver stopped at Luckey Rd. and two males fled on foot. The truck, a 2003 Ford F350, was listed a stolen out of San Antonio PD. Bexar Co. S.O. units responded to assist and detained a subject after a nearby suspicious person call. The subject was identified as the driver and arrested. A 30-year-old male subject was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle. The subject also had 2 active warrants out of Bexar County for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Injury to a Child. The subject was booked into the ACSO Jail.
5:55 AM – Officer responded to the Lytle Nursing Home for a welfare check.
9:50 AM – Officer responded to the area of Wisdom Rd. @ Norvell St. for an open fire, it was not located.
11:59 AM — Officer responded to the Pumphouse Car Wash for an unruly customer. The subject departed prior to police arrival.
12:58 PM – Officers responded to the Auto Zone for a report of a child left in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and child. All was fine.
1:30 PM – While patrolling the HEB Plus parking lot, Officer located a 2 vehicle minor accident.
2:30 PM – Complainant called to report a clerk not wearing a mask at the Chevron.
3:03 PM – Officers respond to the Lytle Apartments to check the welfare on a child heard crying. Officers made contact and all was fine.
3:35 PM – Officers responded to the Lytle City Hall to speak with a complainant. While speaking with the complainant they became angry with the officers’ answers. The subject was asked to leave the City Hall parking lot.
4:58 PM – Officer responded to the Police Station for a report of found property.
Oct. 11
12:14 AM – While on patrol officers located 2 juveniles out past curfew on Adams St. @ N. Pecan St. The juveniles were released to their parents.
12:56 AM – Officers responded to the 200 Blk. of McConnell Rd. to assist ACSO with an open 911 call.
2:18 AM – Officers conducted a traffic stop on Lytle-Somerset St. @ Lazy J Trail for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop officers located a shotgun which had the stock removed. When the officers attempted to detain him he fled on foot. Officers gave chase and subdued the driver with a Taser. The driver continued to resist arrest and assault both officers. A 20-year-old male subject was charged with Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest – Foot and 2 counts of Assault on a Public Servant. The arrested person as well as both officers were cleared at Methodist Hospital – South in Jourdanton.
10:13 AM – A wallet was turned into the PD, the owner was located and picked up her wallet.
12:14 PM – Officer met with a complainant at the PD reference a civil matter involving child custody.
1:50 PM – Officer responded to Sun Loan in the Lytle Crossing for an alarm, the building was secure.
11:23 PM – Officer provided a courtesy ride to a subject who was walking to La Coste.
