Lytle Police Report Oct. 26-31

Oct. 26
12:05 AM – Officers responded to Norvell St. at Wisdom Rd. for a report of a suspicious female walking around the area with a backpack. Dispatch stated the female was exiting an abandoned house and was carrying a backpack. Officers made contact with the female and identified her. She stated she was leaving her boyfriend’s house and was waiting for her ride.
8:45 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) broke out a driver’s side rear window and stole a purse left in plain view. The suspect(s) had already used a debit card which was stolen during the vehicle burglary at AutoZone and HEB C-Store for fuel.
10:15 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of a burglary of a vehicle that occurred between 10 am on 10/25/20 and 6 am on 10/26/20. The purse was left in an unsecured vehicle. The victim’s debit card was used at the HEB C-Store but declined.
3:20 PM – Officer responded to Exxon for a report of a physical disturbance inside a vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:08 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a theft investigation. While investigating the suspect gave the officers a fictitious name. A 17-year-old subject was arrested for Failure to Identify – Fictitious Information and was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
5:16 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Adams St. and talked to complainant in reference to disturbance. Officer spoke with the reporting party and was told everything was okay and that Police was no longer needed.
9:58 PM – While patrolling the area, officer noticed a young woman checking her tires at the Valero. Officer asked if she needed assistance and she stated she got a low pressure message. The woman followed officer to the Police Station where he inflated all four tires for her.
Oct. 27
1:00 AM – While on patrol on 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. officer noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the street occupied by two people. Officer spoke to the occupants and determined that it was a boyfriend/girlfriend encounter.
8:02 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a 911 hang up call. Officer checked the location and a neighbor’s house and all was okay. The number that called was not associated with either location.
2:20 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a suspicious vehicle speeding down the private road in Coalmine. The road complainant stated is outside city limits but the incident will be documented.
11:05 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a suspicious vehicle in front of the store. The vehicle belonged to Lytle True Value employees having an afterfootball get together.
Oct. 28
9:02 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Jr. High for a report of an irate parent. Medina Co. SRO was on scene at the time of officers’ arrival and took care of the situation.
1:42 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a two vehicle crash.
1:52 PM – Officers responded to 14400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an injured deer. Officers put the deer down and contacted Lytle Animal Control to have the animal picked up.
4:12 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Elementary for a report of a Fire Alarm. Koetter Fire Protection was working on the system. All was okay.
5:17 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of StarCross Trail to unlock a vehicle.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of StarCross Trail to assist Allegiance EMS win an irate family member. All was okay.
8:57 PM – Officers initiated a traffic stop at 19500 Blk. of IH 35 for reckless driving. The driver was cited for Driving in Unsafe Condition and Failure to Display Driver’s License.
Oct. 29
3:33 AM – Officers responded to Kirk’s Welding and discovered a suspicious vehicle parked outside of the business. Officers searched the area and made contact with the owner of the vehicle in Kirk’s rental cabin. The owner of the vehicle stated he was renting the cabin.
11:07 AM – Officer conducted a follow up investigation on the aggravated burglary that occurred on 10/22/20.
1:53 PM – Officer received a fax in reference to a warrant service on one of our arrestees. The vehicle the arrestee was in possession of at the time of his arrest, was allegedly acquired by a “hot check”. Griffith Ford recovered the vehicle from Friendly Glenn’s.
3:02 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a verbal argument between two parties inside the Whataburger. All parties were gone upon officers’ arrival.
6:25 PM – Officers were patrolling the area for a Blue 2020 Ford F150 related to another case involving an aggravated robbery. Officers ran a license plate of what seem to be the vehicle related to the incident and discovered the pick-up had stolen license plates. Officers discovered the vehicle was also stolen out of San Antonio. SAPD was contacted and the vehicle was impounded.
7:20 PM – Officer responded to Hacienda Jalisciense and talked a Coal Mine resident who wanted to report someone shooting shotguns in the Coal Mine Cemetery. The resident was referred to Medina Co. due to jurisdiction.
8:20 PM – Officer responded to 19100 Blk. of N. Somerset St. for a report of a group of juveniles who reportedly shot a dog with a bb gun. Officers made contact with the complainant who stated the juveniles ran away. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.
9:38 PM – Officers responded to Sonic Drive-In and conducted a field contact with a male subject.
11:50 PM – Officers responded to FM 2790 at IH 35 for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officer were cancelled by dispatch due to the driver entering Bexar Co.
Oct. 30
8:00 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to threats being made to her daughter at the Lytle Elementary School. The complainant was referred to Medina Co. SRO.
5:40 PM – Officers responded to 14900 Blk. of Richard Blvd. for a report of a 911 hang up call. Officers were unable to locate.
6:55 PM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 NB Frontage Rd. for a report of a female crossing the interstate carrying a bag. Officers searched the area, unable to locate the female.
8:43 PM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a female walking along the road after a verbal argument with her husband. Officers made contact with both parties and provided a courtesy ride for the female back to the hotel.
Oct. 31
2:54 AM – Officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Main St. at N. Prairie St. The vehicle ignored the lights and sirens, officers started pursuit south on Main St. before turning onto CR 6840. The pursuit was terminated as per policy.
4:45 AM – While on patrol at Best Western Plus officer noticed a vehicle parked in the back of the parking lot occupied by a sleeping man. Officer spoke to the man who stated he was temporarily homeless and spending the night in a safe place. Officer spoke to the clerk who advised the officer the man could stay.
5:43 AM – Officer responded to Pirate Express for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
8:27 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious person. Officer made contact with the manager who stated a white male kept coming in and out of the store just looking at the cameras, making the employees and customers uneasy. The male had already left the scene on foot. Officer found the subject behind the Bealls. He was identified and taken back to the HEB C-Store where manager wanted a criminal trespass notice issued.
12:20 PM – Officers provided an escort from Hwy. 132 up to McDonald St. to IH 35 Access Rd.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to Quicksilver Automotive for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
2:20 PM – Officer responded to Quicksilver Automotive for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
5:20 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of StarCross Trail for a report of a stray dog. The Lytle Animal Control was notified.
8:00 PM – Officers responded to 19600 Blk. of Benton City Rd. for a report of an ordinance violation – open fire. A large bonfire was requested to be extinguished, the home owner was given the approval to have a smaller fire.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a broken down vehicle. Officer attempted to jump start the vehicle but the vehicle’s alternator was defective.
10:05 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N Frontage Rd. at FM 3175 and noticed a stop sign that had been run over. Officer notified TXDOT and a temporary sign was placed.
10:32 PM – Officers responded to 19400 Blk. of S Somerset St. for a report of loud music. The music was not loud upon arrival, officers asked the homeowner to turn down the music.
11:23 PM – Officers responded to 19400 Blk. of S Somerset St. for a report of loud music. Officers arrived and there was no music playing.
11:47 PM – Officers responded to 19400 Blk. of S Somerset St. for a report of loud music. Officer arrived to no loud noise. Once again, officer asked the homeowners to keep the noise level down.
Nov. 1
12:39 AM – Officer responded 19400 Blk. of S Somerset St. for a report of loud music/noises. Officer asked the homeowners to shut the party down. The homeowner agreed.
8:01 AM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
5:20 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 SB at FM 2790 for a report of a suspicious male. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
6:34 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference of a road rage incident that occurred in Bexar Co. on IH 35. The other driver follow the complainant to his residence and the complainant wanted to document the incident.
8:19 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a suspicious person. Officers made contact with the male subject who stated he was waiting for his girlfriend who lives across the street.
10:14 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
