Lytle Police Report May 24-30

May 24
1:24 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle. The call was cancelled prior to officer’s arrival.
1:45 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Donut Shop for a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted the individual who stated he was just trying to get home. Officers provided the individual with a courtesy ride to his parent’s house in Natalia.
5:20 AM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of vehicles being burglarized. Officer spoke with the complainant who noticed several cars with their doors open. Officer was able to identify two of the victims. At this time, the victims do not believe anything was taken from their vehicle and advised them that if they noticed something later in the day to call and report it. Officer noticed another vehicle that appeared to be burglarized but was unable to locate the owner.
7:45 AM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of a vehicle that had been rummaged through overnight. The complainant advised that it appeared that no damage was done to the vehicle, and nothing seemed to be taken.
11:04 AM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Hidalgo St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle had departed prior to officer’s arrival.
2:45 PM – Officer responded to15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of two homeless men on the property who refused to leave. Officer made the location but was advised by the complainant that the men left the area.
4:42 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of an assault. An 18-year-old male subject was arrested for Assault by Contact. Subject was cited and released.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a male subject sleeping inside a storage unit. Officer located the male who was asked to leave at the owner’s request.
7:29 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient having a seizure.
11:10 PM – While on patrol, officers noticed a wrecked vehicle on the side of the road partially in the brush. The vehicle had struck a tree causing major damage to the front end and the vehicle was abandoned. The vehicle was impounded. Offices located the driver and identified the driver who stated she was not injured and there was no one else in the vehicle with her.

12:41 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Florence St. to assist Atascosa Co. EMS with finding an open door to assist an elderly with a fall.
11:00 AM – Officer responded to Beall’s parking lot for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
May 26
12:05 AM – While doing a walk through at the Pecan Grove Apartments, officer spoke with a female resident who stated she saw three teenage males walking around the complex earlier in the day. She stated she had her vehicle broken into and had cigarettes, a lighter and loose change stolen.
7:51 AM – Officer responded to AutoZone for a report of a vehicle with loud bass. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:28 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
9:03 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Lake St. and talked to complainant about an outstanding AT&T bill.
10:12 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 S Access Rd. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
11:23 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Primary School for a report of a parent who attempted to pick up his child who is under CPS custody/investigation. The parent departed and agreed not to return.
5:22 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 at Cortez Rd. to assist Atascosa EMS with two adult males who jumped off the train. One male was airlifted, and the other was transported by vehicle.
10:25 PM – Officers responded to FM 3175 near Meadow View to assist Atascosa Co. with a 15 YO male who had assaulted his mother.
May 27
7:56 AM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of an alarm.
8:48 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
11:35 AM – Officer responded to Little Red Schoolhouse to unlock a vehicle.
12:58 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at FM 2790 N for a report of a metal bar on the roadway causing a traffic hazard. Officer removed the metal from the road.
1:58 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
3:57 PM – Office responded to Exxon for a report of an unknown person who entered complainant’s storage unit and stole two television sets and a box of DVD’s. Total estimated loss $730.
6:51 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run. Case under investigation.
8:30 PM – Officer responded to O’Reilly’s Auto Part for a report of found narcotics.
11:37 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St. for a report of complainant seeing someone in her backyard. Officers cleared the backyard and were unable to locate anyone.
May 28
12:11 AM – Officers conducted a welfare check at St. Andrew’s Church on a vehicle that had its hazard lights on. Officers observed the driver asleep at the wheel. Officer noticed an open container in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and contraband was found. A 30-year-old male subject was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG3 < 28g. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
1:22 AM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Mason St. for a report of a suspicious person. Officer made location and located two juveniles who were out past curfew. Officer transported the juveniles to the Police Station where they were released to their parents.
7:13 AM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a report of an unresponsive 79 YO female. The female died of natural causes.
8:37 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Harbour St. to assist an 80 YO female with turning on her electric breaker to her stove.
9:00 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a patient stealing a vehicle and a cell phone. A 37 YO female was arrested in Pleasanton, Texas on an unrelated charge. The vehicle was recovered along with the cell phone on 5/28/21.
10:45 AM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. to assist with unlocking a vehicle.
2:08 PM – Officer responded to Railroad St. due to a stopped train blocking the crossings.
2:20 PM – While on patrol on Main St. and Benton St., officer observed a stranded motorist. The vehicle had overheated, and the driver was adding water and was waiting for it to cool down.
4:12 PM – Officer responded to the 15300 Blk. Of Newton St. for a mental health concern.
4:30 PM – Officer responded to the 18800 Blk. Of Wisdom Rd. for a verbal disturbance.
6:10 PM – Officer responded to the Camino Real Crisis Unit to check the welfare of a subject who had walked out of the facility. Officer determined the subject was fine.
6:30 PM – Officer responded to the Harris Trailer Park for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.
8:55 PM – Officers responded to the 100 Blk. Of Southwind Dr. to assist ACSO with a trespassing call.
9:34 PM – Officer responded to the 14900 Blk. Of Star Cross Trail for a civil matter between the landlord and tenant.
9:52 PM – Officer responded to Main St. @ FM 2790 N for a two-vehicle minor accident.
May 29
5:30 AM – Officer responded to Main ST. @ Davis St. for a suspicious person.
8:21 AM – While on patrol around the Lytle ISD Bus Barn Officer observed an open gate.
9:10 AM – Officer responded to the PD for a civil matter due to child custody.
9:43 AM – Officers conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a cite and release of a 36-year-old male subject for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
11:58 AM – Officers took a call via phone regarding a lost wallet at the HEB Plus.
5:10 PM – Officers conducted a traffic stop on IH 35 @ FM 3175 that resulted in an Emergency Detention of the driver due to a mental health crisis.
5:49 PM – Officer was contacted by SAPD regarding a missing person that may be in the Lytle area.
May 30
2:10 AM – While on patrol Officers were flagged down by a subject walking that needed directions. Officers determined it was not the missing person previously reported by SAPD and assisted the subject with the directions.
9:11 AM – Officers responded to the Camino Real Crisis Center to assist a private EMS company who was attempting to transport a consumer on an Emergency Detention signed by the County Judge.
3:00 PM – Officers conducted a field contact on IH 35 at mile marker 132 on two subjects seen running across the highway.
4:58 PM – Officers responded to the area oh IH 35 Frontage Road at FM 3175 for a reported reckless driver.
5:58 PM – Officers responded to the H7S Cream Pop for a possible intoxicated driver in the drive thru. Officers determined the subject was not intoxicated.
8:08 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 to assist Medina Co. S.O. with attempting to locate several subjects that fled from a crash that occurred in Natalia.
