Lytle Police Report May 14-20


May 14

7:30 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to phone harassment calls that started over the weekend from complainant’s estranged boyfriend. Complainant was advised to contact the police if the unwanted contact continues.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to Benton City Rd. at Magnolia St. for a report of a suspicious male walking in the area. Officer located subject who stated he was hit by a vehicle while walking sometime during the night. The subject only wanted to go to a hospital, the injuries were consistent with an assault. Atascosa EMS was called and subject was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
9:35 AM – Officer responded to 15700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a pony running along the roadway near Cortez Rd. The pony was corralled.
10:23 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Family Practice for a report of an unruly patient. The individual departed without incident.
10:53 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a CPS Investigation. The incident was a civil matter in nature.
10:58 AM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a shoplifter inside the store that resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old male subject for Theft < $2,000 with 2 Previous Convictions. Subject stole 4 pair of sunglasses valued at $60.96. Due to the 2 previous convictions, he was charged with a felony theft. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and was also issued a Criminal Trespass Notice for the HEB property.
9:15 PM – Officer responded to Main St. for a report of a vehicle traveling southbound that was seen leaving an unoccupied building with A/C units loaded in the back. Officer intercepted the vehicle and arrested the two male parties. A 57-year-old male subject and a 43-year-old male subject were both arrested for Theft of Material (Copper) <$20K. Both were transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and the vehicle was towed.
May 15
4:30 AM – Officer responded to O’Reilly’s Auto Part for a report of an alarm.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a possible fuel spill in the parking lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:52 AM – Officer responded to Chevron for a report of a two vehicle crash.
10:11 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy on a traffic stop.
10:15 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a welfare check. Officer held the driver of the vehicle until the wife of the driver was able to make location and drive the individual home.
May 16
2:00 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at Mile Marker 131 to assist Atascosa Co. on locating a vehicle involved in an accident.
5:05 AM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Main St. to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a possible gas leak. It was determined a bag of clothes that was just taken out of the dryer was catching fire. The clothes were taken out of the residence and put out.
8:09 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at Diaz St. at railroad tracks for malfunctioning crossing arms. UPRR was notified.
12:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
4:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
9:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of an abandoned vehicle left all day at pump #15. The vehicle had a dealer tag and the keys locked inside the vehicle.
May 17
12:45 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.
11:10 AM – Officer responded to Boyd Building at Railroad St. and Bank St. for a report of illegal dumping in the dumpster behind the building. Extra patrol requested.
11:10 AM – Officer responded to N. Benton St. at Cottage St. and talked to complainant in reference to gravel on the roadway. The gravel was from the parent drop off zone at the Lytle Primary School. Public Works was notified.
12:10 PM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of Main St. to assist a stranded motorist who had run out of fuel. Officer purchased a gas can and fueled her vehicle so that she could be on her way.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant who was concerned about the property division from an upcoming divorce. Officer explained to complainant that property is a civil matter and needed to be addressed in family court.
2:54 PM – Officer responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts for a report of a two vehicle crash.
May 18
12:01 AM – Officer responded to Pirate Express Drive Thru for a report of an alarm.
12:46 AM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a suspicious male sitting by the building. The male was identified and asked to vacate the premises.
9:50 AM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. at Laredo St. to assist a lost motorist by providing directions to the Lytle Public Library.
10:58 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at N. Prairie St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
11:32 AM – Officer responded to 13600 Blk. of Old Frio City Rd. to unlock a vehicle.
12:54 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. to assist a broken down 18 wheeler blocking the southbound left turn lane. Driver requested a tow truck.
5:58 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Police Station for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
6:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious male and female in the P-Lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:32 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Police Station for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
6:36 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB for a report of a reckless driver traveling southbound. Officer was unable to locate.
10:35 PM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. and assisted CPS Energy by providing traffic control due to a downed power line.
May 19
10:50 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Harbor St. for a report of loud music coming from near Gate St. Officer could not locate the music but found a man standing outside of the last house on Harbor St. who admitted to playing music loud a short time ago. He agreed to keep his music down.
4:30 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. and talked to a motorist who was upset that an individual was not wearing a safety harness while working on the building from an elevated position.
5:10 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and reported he lost his wallet in the Great Clips P-Lot area. Complainant later called and stated he found his wallet after it was turned in to Twin Liquors by an unknown citizen. All was still in the wallet.
5:20 PM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Houston St. for a report of an unruly juvenile. No offense committed.
6:05 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a small grass fire in front of the store. The fire was extinguished prior to officer’s arrival.
6:35 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a reckless driver that allegedly ran 3 stop signs in the P-Lot.
6:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a welfare check in reference to a parked vehicle occupied by allegedly intoxicated parents and a toddler. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:30 PM – Complainant reported her truck being struck by a vehicle and left the scene. The complainant refused to identify herself.
May 20
12:10 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a suspicious pick-up. Officer noted no signs of criminal activity.
5:07 PM – Officer responded to Morales Feed & Supply for a report of an alarm.
5:12 PM – Officer located a down tree due to weather at 19700 Blk. of Benton City Rd. Officer waited until Lytle Public Works arrived.
6:22 PM – Officer responded to Cottage St. at D’Hanis St. for a report of a tree that fell blocking the roadway. Lytle Public Works was notified.
6:45 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
6:45 PM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to a loose German Shepherd, complainant was afraid the dog would get hit. Officer stood by until the owner arrived and took possession of her dog.
