Lytle Police Report May 10-16

May 10
1:39 AM – Officer responded to Pirate Express for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
2:30 AM – Traffic stop at IH 35 S Frontage Rd. and FM 3175 resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old male subject for Driving While Intoxicated 1st. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail, his intoxicated passenger was released to a family member and the vehicle was impounded.
9:24 AM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an unknown person that cut the lock off complainant’s dumpster and dumped items in it which caused extra charges on his account.
4:03 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a combative and disruptive male patient. Upon arrival, the officers were not needed.
5:05 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:02 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
8:13 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a natural death.
9:08 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of items stolen from a storage unit.
9:45 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center and made contact with a consumer who was leaving the building and in need of a ride. Officer gave the male a courtesy ride to HEB C-Store where he would wait for his wife to pick him up.
10:06 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Storage and talked to complainant in reference to missing locks on his storage units.
10:32 PM – Officers responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of a panic alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
May 11
4:48 AM – Officer responded to MC Storage for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked outside. The vehicle belonged to Patriot Auto.
4:50 AM – Officer responded to Pirate Express for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:38 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Vet Clinic for a report of an alarm.
7:40 AM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a consumer that was being combative. Upon arrival, staff reported that the consumer left the facility the night before and returned this morning for treatment. Initially the subject did not meet the qualification for an ED however during the investigation the consumer ran off and into the roadway causing traffic to stop. The consumer then walked towards IH 35 at which time he was detained on an Emergency Detention and transported to Texas Vista.
8:25 AM – Officer responded to the entrance to Saddle Ridge Estates for a report of a construction crew member that hit a water main.
9:50 AM – Officers attended the annual Lytle Nursing Home Parade.
9:58 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at Cortez Rd. for a report of a reckless driver. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the Ryder unit was delivering furniture and failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle. The two occupants of the truck were asked to pay more attention to their driving.
10:03 AM – Officer responded to Lytle One Stop Storage for a report of burglary of a storage unit.
10:48 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Public Library for a report of a criminal mischief. An unknown person(s) kicked in the door to the storage building, nothing was taken.
3:32 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of harassing text messages complainant was receiving.
May 12
7:00 AM – Officer responded to Community National Bank for a report of a vehicle windshield that was damaged by an unknown object while driving on IH 35 between Lytle and the rest area in Medina Co. Complainant stated the item came from the east side of IH 35 as she was driving and that no other vehicles were around her at the time.
9:18 AM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
1:00 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Adams St. for a welfare check on a man asleep under a tree. Officer made contact with the male who was identified. Officer determined everything was okay.
1:45 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Community Cemetery for a report of damage done to a headstone and several vases put on complainant’s father’s headstone.
2:10 PM – Officer provided fingerprints for employment purposes.
6:31 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a suicidal subject. Officers arrived on scene and were advised the staff was working on an emergency detention and contacting their ambulance. The consumer had calmed down and was willing to go to the hospital. Officers advised the staff to notify them when the ambulance arrived.
7:38 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center when the ambulance arrived on scene. The facility wanted a police presence while the consumer was put on a stretcher and taken out of the facility. Officers left without further incident.
9:11 PM – Officers responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of a suspicious man wearing a backpack entering the apartments from Mesquite St. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
9:25 PM – Officer responded to Lytle True Value and assisted the public with a courtesy ride.
9:37 PM – Officers responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of a suspicious person with a possible gun. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
10:02 PM – Officer was contacted by Atascosa Co. Sheriff’s Office and requested to speak with a caller. Officer spoke with complainant in regards to an incident that had occurred a while back.
May 13
1:33 AM – Traffic stop on Main St. and Bank St. resulted in the discovery of a marijuana cigarette inside the vehicle belonging to the driver. A 31-year-old male subject was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding and No Driver’s License. The vehicle was then released to his girlfriend who did have a license.
2:18 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 N and provided an escort to a driver with defective head lamps to her residence in Natalia, TX.
7:49 AM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a consumer that was out of control. Officers arrived and were able to calm the subject after taking his meds. Officers advised staff to call if further assistance was needed.
9:48 AM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center to assist Atascosa Co. with an emergency detention. Officers escorted the consumer to the patrol vehicle without incident.
10:45 AM – Officers responded to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and provided funeral escort to the Lytle Cemetery.
11:42 AM – Officers responded to Hwy. 132 at Cortez Rd. for a report of a subject riding a skateboard in the middle of the roadway refusing to move for traffic. Officers located the subject and spoke to him and advised to stay out of the roadway.
2:09 PM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:12 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of FM 2790 for a welfare check on a female possibly on drugs and was armed with a shotgun. It was determined that the female was outside Lytle City limits and was referred to Medina Co.
6:53 PM – Officer responded to Railroad St. at Hack’s Salvage for a welfare check on an elderly individual. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:15 PM – Officers responded to Coalmine for a report of a suspicious male walking in the subdivision. Officers arrived and was told the man left the area. Officers checked Hwy. 132 and Twin Lakes but were unable to locate.
11:38 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of an employee who discovered a small baggie of marijuana near the dumpsters and turned it in. The baggie was placed into evidence.
May 14
12:02 AM – Officer responded to Pirates Express for a report for an alarm.
4:29 PM – Officer responded to Oak St. at Somerset St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
8:26 PM – Officers responded to 14900 Blk. of StarCross Trail for a report of a civil matter – evection.
9:00 PM – Officer was flagged down at Coalmine by a resident who requested extra patrol due to suspicious men walking in the neighborhood during the night.
9:21 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of two suspicious males inside a vehicle. Officers made contact with the males who were using the HEB WiFi.
9:37 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of an iPhone stolen while at the park playing basketball.
May 15
1:24 AM – Traffic stop at N. Somerset St. and Railroad St. resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old subject for Unlawful Carrying and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 1-4g. Also arrested was a 32-year-old subject for Possession of Controlled Substance PD1 1-4g. Both subjects were transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
2:46 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Short St. for a report of a disturbance with shots being fired. Officer spoke with complainant who stated he was being assaulted by his father and that he fired six round of a 9mm into the ground to protect himself.
3:30 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Short St. and talked to officer in reference to a confrontation between the complainant and his father that had occurred earlier.
9:12 AM – Officers responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Prairie St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
9:30 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officers in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
8:10 PM – Traffic stop at Main St. and Davis St. resulted in the citation and seizure of a fictitious handicap placard.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to Adams St. near N. Prairie St. for a report of a suspicious person. Officer was unable to locate.
11:09 PM – Officers responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of loud music coming from the parking lot. Officer spoke to six young people who agreed to turn their music off.
May 16
12:32 AM – Officer responded 1800 Blk. of FM 3175 to assist Atascosa EMS with a possible alcohol poisoning that took place at a large party. The male was responsive and not transported.
3:25 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 for a report of a driver in a red SUV possibly intoxicated. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
1:48 PM – Officers responded to 19000 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of a suspicious female taking pictures of complainant’s home. The female was identified and was issued a criminal trespass notice.
4:22 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of a go-kart in the roadway. Officer located the juvenile and asked that he be cautious and to ride on the side of the roadway.
8:22 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at Exit 131 to assist Medina Co. with a reported stolen vehicle exiting on 131 in Lytle. The vehicle headed south towards Natalia and the call was transferred to Medina Co.
8:29 PM – Officer responded to Exxon for a report of an unknown male acting suspicious walking in and out of the gas station. Officer was unable to locate the male.
8:34 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. and talked to complainant in regards to her cousin’s snapchat that was hacked. Complainant stated she was receiving messages asking where she lived.
10:45 PM – Officer discovered a suspicious vehicle at the Lytle Tire Shop during closed hours. Officer made contact with the driver and identified him. Officer detected the odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. An ashtray with a green leafy substance was seized from the vehicle. A 19-year-old male subject was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.
