Lytle Police Report June 1-7

June 1
11:42 AM – Officer responded to Coal Mine Community for a report of door slamming and yelling in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:24 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus (19300 Blk. of McDonald St.) for a report of a theft of unknown merchandise. Surveillance footage shows suspect seen through various dates coming to the business and committing theft. In total, the suspect has left with approximately $173 in merchandise.
9:21 PM – Assist Motorist Officers responded to HEB C-Store to assist a couple who had ran out of gas and was parked in the store driveway. Officers assisted the driver with gas and the driver departed.
June 2
1:50 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The person in the vehicle parked to rest before driving again.
7:30 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in reference to the roof of his truck camper that sustained damage while parked in the HEB Plus P-Lot on 5/26/20. Complainant alleged damage was caused as a result of a hit & run accident.
4:04 PM – Officer responded to MC Self Storage to unlock a vehicle.
5:26 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Office St. for a report of an ex-boyfriend stalking the complainant.
5:48 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Florence St. and talked to officer in reference to ID Theft along with personal property.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
June 3
2:00 AM – Officer responded to Country View Apartments for a report of found property.
3:10 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn to unlock a vehicle.
3:30 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Gate St. for a report of a theft of currency. The complainant states an ex-roommate stole money and items from the residence. Total estimated loss $2,055.
7:25 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a suspicious person while at HEB Plus.
June 4
1:20 AM – While conducting a building check at the Lytle High School, officer located three unlocked doors. Officer notified the school. No signs of criminal activity noted.
12:15 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a complainant’s home being egged.
1:30 PM – Officer was flagged down at 14600 Blk. of Railroad St. and talked to complainant in reference to a vehicle she was going to purchase that was reported as stolen. Complainant was referred to Bexar Co. due to jurisdiction.
1:45 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a hit & run.
3:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
4:52 PM – Officer responded to Beall’s for a report of a possible theft that occurred at the business. Officer made contact with the complainant who stated a white female was seen concealing items in her purse and left without paying $80 worth of products. The suspect fled the scene. Video footage was requested, the suspect was identified and charges are pending.
5:45 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St. for a report of criminal mischief. An unknown suspect(s) egged the front of the house and the separated garage. Total estimated damage $150.
6:22 PM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of Lake Crest Dr. and talked to complainant in regards to an ongoing dispute between the complainant and a car dealership where complainant had purchased her vehicle from. Complainant was advised the issue was a civil matter.
7:01 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S Frontage Rd. at Mile Marker 133 to assist a motorist with two flat tires and vehicle blocking the roadway. Officer arrived and discovered passing citizens had helped push the vehicle off the road and onto the grassy shoulder. Officer spoke to the elderly couple who stated their son was on his way to assist them.
9:52 PM – Officers responded to Bealls for a report of donuts being conducted in the parking lot. The crowd was told to leave the premises.
11:35 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of extra patrols due to construction material laying unsecured. Officer provided extra patrols throughout the night.
11:41 PM – Officer responded to Burger King for a report of an activated burglar alarm. Officer found the building to be secure with no signs of criminal activity.
June 5
11:00 AM – While patrolling at the 18800 Blk. of Pine St. officer was stopped by a resident that wanted to report two loud vehicles from the previous night. Resident requested extra patrols in the area.
11:19 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a theft of a full basket of groceries. Upon arrival, it was discovered the female left the basket in the store before exiting.
11:57 AM – Officer responded to Bill Millers for a report of a two vehicle crash.
3:47 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of welfare check on an elderly patient. Officer made contact with the patient who appeared in good health.
7:55 PM – Officers responded to Day Inn to assist Atascosa EMS with a male patient having a possible heart attack.
11:40 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 2790 E to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a disturbance.
June 6
12:43 AM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive-In for a report of an alarm.
4:35 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB for a report of an unknown vehicle travelling southbound in the northbound lane of the highway from Bexar Co. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:05 AM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for a report of 2 missing/stolen firearms valued at $885 total. They were discovered missing during a daily inventory.
10:28 AM – Officer responded to 14500 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of 3 stolen firearms. The firearms were very old and last seen the day prior. Total estimated value of the theft was undetermined by the owner due to the age of the handguns.
2:27 PM – Officer release property to rightful owner.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Somerset St. for a report of a hit & run.
5:42 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of FM 2790 N and talked to complainant in reference to a reckless driver.
June 7
12:01 AM – Officer responded to The Gathering Church for a report of 4 suspicious vehicles backed in at the front door. The vehicles belong to the pastor and church member staying the night.
12:23 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at Prairie St. for a report of possible shots fired in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
12:50 AM – Officer responded to 100 Blk. of Quail Creek Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a report of a child screaming. Upon arrival, dispatch canceled the call.
4:00 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 S for a report of a reckless driver traveling southbound. Officer was unable to locate.
8:58 AM – Officer responded to Chevron for a report of a welfare check on a male person who appeared disoriented. Officer located the male person and spoke with him and was okay. Officer saw no reason for further action.
12:38 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
7:55 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Benton St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. It was discovered the vehicle belonged to a worker leaving for the day.
11:15 PM – Officers responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for a report of an alarm.
11:27 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a female patient with high blood pressure.
