Lytle Police Report Jan. 17-Jan. 23

Jan. 17
3:20 AM – 18900 Blk. FM 2790 N. Officer responded for a report of a man that was shot inside a residence. Upon arrival, it was discovered the incident with the elderly male did not occur.
6:57 AM – Highway Patrol – IH 35 Officers responded for a report of a hit & run accident. Upon arrival, it was discovered the accident occurred outside the city limits in Medina County.
11:22 AM – Yumm #10 Officers responded for a verbal argument between a male and female. Upon arrival, the pair had left the scene travelling towards IH 35 to San Antonio.
3:33 PM – HEB Plus Officers responded for an unruly customer refusing to leave the store. The customer departed prior to the officer’s arrival.
3:35 PM – Mesquite St. @ Somerset Rd. Officers responded for a tree branch broken off on top of an 18-wheeler. With the help of Public Works, Hector Barrera Construction, and Eric Ruiz Concrete, the 18-wheeler was freed.
6:20 PM – John Lott Park Officer responded for a report of shots fired. Officer spoke to 3 juveniles that admitted they were shooting fireworks.
6:52 PM – 18800 Blk. N. Prairie St Officers responded for a report of someone sleeping in a vacant house. Officers were unable to locate any forced entry or anyone in the home.
7:35 PM – IH 35 MM 130 NB Officers responded for a report of a gray Ford F150, possibly transporting undocumented immigrants. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Jan. 18
8:05 AM – Lytle Dental Officer responded for an active alarm. A new employee was unable to locate the keypad to turn off the alarm. Everything was okay.
8:45 AM – 14600 Blk. Main St. Officer responded for a report of inappropriate comments on Facebook.
5:09 PM – HEB Plus Officer responded to a non-injury hit & run accident.
Jan. 19
8:00 AM – Little Pirates Daycare Officer unlocked a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup.
8:35 AM – Wisdom Rd. @ Norvell St. Officers responded for a report of a suspicious person wearing camo and a hoodie. Officers were unable to locate the person.
9:28 AM – 18300 Blk. Wisdom Rd. Officer responded for an animal carcass in the roadway.
10:34 AM – 19600 Blk. Benton City Rd. Officer responded for an active residential panic alarm. Everything was okay.
11:40 AM – Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office Officer travelled to 7300 Blk. of Louis Pasteur to pick up evidence from an earlier case.
11:58 AM – HEB Plus Officer responded for a report of $50.00 of stolen meat. The suspect left the store, and the complainant was able to get the LP of a blue Ford Focus.
12:35 PM – HEB Plus Officer responded for a vehicle opening the door into another vehicle.
1:45 PM – Bruce St. @ Lytle-Somerset St. Officer responded for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
6:35 PM – 14100 Blk. Lytle-Somerset Officer responded for a vehicle parked in front of a residence. The driver’s vehicle had overheated and was waiting for it to cool down.
9:29 PM – FM 463 to Old Frio City Rd. Officers initiated a traffic stop for that resulted in a Ford F-150 refusing to stop. The driver crashed through a barb-wire fence and fled the area on foot. The vehicle plates came back stolen out of Stephenville Texas.
Jan. 20
7:10 AM – Burger King Officer responded for an active alarm. The business was secure, and everything was okay.
8:24 AM – 19300 Blk. Dawson St. Officers responded for a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived to discover there was not a disturbance but only the father of the children dropping off jackets for the wintry weather.
10:07 AM – Lytle Nursing Home Officer responded for the death of an 85-year-old female.
11:22 AM – 19300 Blk. Dawson St. Officer issued a Criminal Trespass Notice for 2 homes located on Dawson St.
11:44 AM – HEB Plus Officer responded to a minor no-injury accident.
2:54 PM – HEB Plus Officer responded for a report of a lost prescription of Hydrocodone, the RX was located a brief time later.
3:48 PM – IH 35 Southbound Officer responded for a reckless driver in a black Audi. The vehicle was not driving recklessly.
4:47 PM – 13500 Blk. Greenwood Rd. Officers recovered the vehicle involved in the pursuit from the previous day.
6:33 PM – Harbor St. Officer responded to reset a breaker for an elderly female.
9:16 PM – Bill Miller’s Officer responded to a hit & run accident. The female that left the scene was having a medical emergency.
Jan. 21
1:11 AM – IH 35 MM 127 (out of the city) Officer responded to a report of a jack-knifed 18-wheeler. The vehicle was located, and Medina County Sheriff’s Deputy made the scene.
2:41 PM – HEB S-Store Officers were dispatched for a report of 3 males harassing a female. Officers were canceled prior to arrival.
5:22 PM – HEB Plus Officer responded for a report of a stolen wallet from an unknown person.
6:36 PM – Lytle One Stop Officers responded for a verbal disturbance. The 2 parties agreed to leave the location.
Jan. 22
8:27 AM – FM 3175 @ IH 35 Officers responded for a loose donkey. The owner of the donkey took possession of the animal.
8:50 AM – 160 Blk. CR 6843 Officers responded for a stray dog. Animal Control took possession of the dog.
4:27 PM – Lytle Gymnasium Officer assisted with a juvenile having a medical emergency.
5:36 PM – 15400 Blk. Main St. Officer responded for a report of an aggressive dog. Officers located the owner of the dog.
6:03 PM – 180 Blk. CR 6842 Officer responded for a report of a dog bite.
10:10 PM – Talk to Officer – 180 Blk. Cr. 6842 Officer responded for a report of a male saying the Lytle PD was attempting to steal his identity. Officers spoke to the male and advised him that was not the case.
Jan. 23
1:45 AM – FM 3175 @ IH 35 Officers initiated a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old subject for DWI.
9:05 AM – 14500 Blk. Main St. Officer responded for a report of an injured deer. Animal control took control of the deer after the deer was dispatched.
2:51 PM – 18800 Blk. N. Prairie St. Officer responded for a report of someone squatting in a vacant home. A small puppy was recovered from the home. Animal Control took possession of the puppy.
3:48 PM – S. Somerset St. @ Mesquite St. Officer responded to a minor non-injury accident.
8:04 PM Sgt. Hanson – Burglary of a Vehicle – Best Western Plus – 19800 Blk. IH 35 Officer responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. An unknown person broke in the back window of the vehicle and stole a backpack with items valued at $500.
8:25 PM – Coal Mine Subdivision Officer received a phone call about a suspicious car. The vehicle belonged to a resident of the Coal Mine.
8:30 PM – Information via Phone Call Officer received a call-in regard to the caller’s brother not taking his medication and acting strange. Officer was unable to locate the caller’s brother.
11:55 PM – Office St. Officer accompanied a female to her daughter’s residence regarding a disturbance. One female left the scene, and everything was okay
