Devine Police Report Jan. 14-Jan. 20

Jan. 14
2:06 PM – Heavy smoke in the area of Robin Ave. Grass fire in back yard.
3:34 PM – Resident on Webb Ave. burning in yard. Officer made contact; fire put out.
4:17 PM – Two female subjects at Walmart were cited and released for theft < $100.
6:39 PM – EMS needed assistance gaining entry for a welfare check to a home in the 600 block of Rossville Rd. EMS gained entry prior to officer’s arrival by contacting someone inside location.
6:47 PM – Officer assisted DPS in the 1100 block of Hwy. 132 N. with transporting two juvenile females back home. DPS stopped for motorist assist.
Jan. 15
12:46 AM – Officer assisted DPS with a traffic stop in the 700 block of N. Teel Dr. Officer remained on location for cover while trooper conducted vehicle search.
1:43 AM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office in the 100 block of CR 6846 with a physical disturbance between family possibly involving weapons.
3:38 AM – Male subject in verbal altercation with McDonald’s employee then proceeded to peel out in the parking lot.
5:11 PM – Caller stated as she was walking her dog she noticed teenagers being disruptive at the park. Did not check bathrooms after they left. Officer located teens. Teens cleaned up bathroom; no damage observed.
Jan. 16
12:00 AM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of W. Hondo Ave. in reference to a vehicle parked in turning lane in the 600 block of W. Hondo Ave. Vehicle and subjects were picked up by father. Assisted by the MCSO.
4:36 AM – Officer made contact with homeowner in the 300 block of W. Davis Ave. and advised to lower music. Assisted by MCSO.
4:57 AM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of W. Moore Ave. in reference to noise coming from complainant’s backyard. Searched the area; all was okay. Assisted by MCSO.
5:52 AM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Mockingbird Ln. in reference to a possible structure fire on location. Outside fence and wood stove on fire.
8:29 AM – Owner arrived home in the 400 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. and confronted an unknown male subject inside of home. Last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Fled from location using a blue and white bike.
1:31 PM – Pursuit out of Frio County. Bailout at S. Commercial Dr. and Bright Dr. Seven undocumented immigrants in custody. Border Patrol took custody of subjects.
3:18 PM – Mile marker 124 exit sign down and in roadway. Removed by officer, TxDot notified.
Jan. 18
11:08 AM – Complainant reported a vehicle that parks across the street from the Post Office every day; vehicle unoccupied.
12:38 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Fernandez Ave. to report the theft of a vehicle. The vehicle was entered into TCIC/NCIC.
Jan. 19
3:20 AM – Officer assisted DPS with a major two-vehicle accident with two fatalities on IH-35 NB near mile marker 118. Assisted with traffic control.
4:05 PM – Officer located a Lone Star card belonging to a local person.
6:58 PM – Complainant advised there was forced entry through a side door in the 200 block of Windy Knoll Dr. Approximately 60 to 70 dollars and a checkbook was taken.
Jan. 20
11:52 AM – Officers dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Hondo Ave. in reference to a patient refusing to leave and yelling at staff. Subject left prior to officers’ arrival; all was okay.
1:31 PM – Customer being irate with employee at Walmart. Male subject departed at arrival of officer. Verbal disturbance only.
5:12 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of DuBose Dr. in reference to a male subject going from door to door soliciting. A male subject was asked to stop for the day until permit was received.
