Lytle Police Report Feb. 3-9

Feb. 3
12:45 AM – Traffic stop at the 18700 Blk. of N. Prairie St. resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old male subject for Driving While Intoxicated First – Open Container. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and the vehicle was impounded.
8:50 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported a lost/stolen firearm, it may have went missing while complainant lived in our jurisdiction.
2:45 PM – Officer was flagged down at FM 3175 at IH 35 to report a stranded vehicle that ran out of gas. Upon arrival, the vehicle was already gone.
6:28 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. for a report of a natural death.
6:30 PM – Officers responded to Hwy. 132 at FM 2790 to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
8:35 PM – Officers responded to the Post Office to assist the fire dept. with a female slumping over the steering wheel. The female was on her cell phone and did not have any medical issues.
9:15 PM – While on patrol at Park Place, officers noticed two vehicles attempting to enter the subdivision unsuccessfully. Officers made contact with the driver who was searching for an address.
10:10 PM – The previous incident at the gates of Park Place resulted in a resident at 15200 Park Place being worried that someone would visit her home during the night. The officer explained the incident, all was okay.
Feb. 4
1:50 AM – Officer was flagged down by Atascosa Deputy who reported he had been flagged down by a driver who was out searching for his missing 17 YO son. Officer responded to Days Inn where the family is living and spoke with the mother who stated their son sleep walks and walked out of the room. Officer began a search of the area and was later notified that the father had found his son walking on CR 6840, apparently heading back to their former residence in Twin Lakes.
9:24 AM – Officer responded to Dr. Rick’s Optical to unlock a vehicle.
12:18 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
2:03 PM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a report of shots fired in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Richard Dr. and talked to complainant in reference to being concerned for her son’s safety.
10:20 PM – Officer responded to 200 Blk. of Las Palomas to assist Atascosa Co. with a disturbance.
10:23 PM – Officer responded to Coal Mine Park for a report of suspicious males violating curfew. Officer located 6 males ranging in age from 17-27 who stated they had tried to walk to the cemetery but ended up on the private road and irritating a resident who lives down that road. Officer advised them to not go down that road.
11:07 PM – Traffic stop at the 15000 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old male subject for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Feb. 5
1:59 AM – Officer responded to Burger King for a report of an alarm. Officer spoke to the delivery man who did not have the proper code.
8:05 AM – Officer responded to Metro PCS for a report of an alarm. Officer made contact with an employee who advised everything was okay.
9:58 AM – Officer provided an escort for a trail ride through town.
12:05 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Lake Wind for a report of a suspicious truck driving around the area. Officer located the truck and made contact with the driver who stated he was a worker of Ripps Lawn Service who has a contract for the lawn in the subdivision.
4:00 PM – Officers provided an escort for a trail ride through town.
5:20 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to unwanted phone calls.
5:34 PM – Officer responded to Laserwash to unlock a vehicle.
7:03 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a welfare check. Officer made contact, everything was okay.
9:10 PM – Officer responded to Quicksilver Automotive and talked to complainant in reference to a vehicle in his lot that had the fuel tank punctured sometime the night before and once the week before as well. Extra patrol requested.
Feb. 6
6:50 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
12:27 PM – Officer responded to Lytle ISD Administrative Bldg. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Medina Co. SRO was making contact with the vehicle prior to officer’s arrival. The vehicle was a construction worker who was working on the school.
1:31 PM – Officer responded to City Hall for a welfare check on an elderly man walking around the area who appeared to be lost. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
4:20 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Adams St. to unlock a vehicle.
4:27 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
6:38 PM – Officers responded to Bealls for a report of a subject who stepped out in the road and had a confrontation with a vehicle. Subject suffers from mental health issues. He was detained in an Emergency Detention and transported to University Hospital for an evaluation.
9:34 PM – Officer responded to Lydia’s Trade Mart to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
Feb. 7
8:45 AM – Officer responded to Hacienda Jaliciense for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer made contact with the two occupants. Both were identified and released. The driver was issued a citation.
10:20 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. to assist Lytle Animal Control with three loose goats. The goats were captured by Animal Control Officer.
11:20 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of a female refusing to leave. Officer was canceled prior to arrival.
11:50 AM – Officer responded to Patriot Gas to unlock a vehicle.
4:00 PM – Officers arrested and detained a 16 YO male for the offense of Assault Bodily Injury in reference to an assault that occurred on 2/1/20 at HEB Plus. Juvenile was transported to the Atascosa Juvenile Detention Center.
5:26 PM – Complainant talked to officer over the phone in reference to two grandsons who stayed the night at another residence without her permission.
8:28 PM – Officer responded to Blue Quail to assist Atascosa Co. with clearing a residence. The homeowner discovered a door wide open when returning home with her children.
Feb. 8
2:30 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer discovered one adult male and female in the backseat. Both were asked to leave the park.
2:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of theft of a motor vehicle.
2:50 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Services for a report of an unruly consumer. No offense occurred.
4:10 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 E for a report of an occupant in a silver pickup who threw a firecracker out of the window and caused a small grass fire. The fire was put out by a passing motorist.
4:45 PM – Officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked at FM 463 at FM 2790. Officer initiated a field contact, all was okay.
6:19 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Vol. Fire Station to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. and Atascosa EMS with a possible stroke victim. The female was transported to the hospital.
6:30 PM – Office responded to 19200 Blk. of Easy St. for a report of a suspicious activity at an abandoned home. Upon arrival, one window was open in the garage area and the home was secured. No one was located at the residence.
7:34 AM – Officer responded to McDonald’s to unlock a vehicle.
9:15 PM – Officer was flagged down by a motorist who wanted to report 3 goats escaped from his business.
Feb. 9
1:03 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Adams St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a male who was not breathing. Officer discovered the son performing CPR on the male, he was transported to Southwest General Hospital by Atascosa EMS.
8:43 AM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a report of an abandoned vehicle left at the vacuum cleaners. The complainant advised they would have the vehicle towed.
10:46 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at FM 3175 for a report of a one vehicle crash.
1:00 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious male guest that checked out and made a suspicious statement to his child. He departed prior to officer’s arrival.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report that an unknown person who burglarized the air compressor the previous day. The lock was removed and an unknown amount of money was taken.
2:45 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to an assault that occurred outside the city, in Medina Co. The complainant was referred to Medina Co. S.O.
4:35 PM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of FM 2790 W to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with loose cattle behind the Lytle State Bank field.
5:59 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home to assist Atascosa EMS with a lethargic male patient.
7:18 PM – Officer responded to 15500 Blk. of Main St. for a report of wood debris on the roadway creating a traffic hazard.
8:23 PM – Office responded to 19200 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, the vehicle had left the area.
9:17 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S for a report of a reckless driver. Office searched the area, unable to locate.
