Devine Police Report Jan. 31-Feb. 6

Jan. 31
1:24 AM – Report of grass fire that looked to be near tracks. Officer made location to verify so dispatch could contact Union Pacific.
4:07 PM – Complainant advised a black truck pulling a trailer on Hwy. 173 N. was unable to maintain lanes; unable to locate.
7:38 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. stated a male subject was on location giving her trouble. Caller advised the male left location when told the police were called. Officers found the subject across the street, and he was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia.
8:18 PM – Complainant stated seeing three kids walking behind the First Baptist Church and was worried they might have vandalized the building. Unable to locate, no signs of vandalism.
8:45 PM – Possible single gunshot coming from the west side of the city. Unable to locate.
10:40 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 200 block of W. Hondo Ave. for a traffic violation. The male driver was found to have an active warrant and was jailed.
Feb. 1
11:24 AM – Officer dispatched to the 500 block of Rossville for a female outside yelling. Officer made contact with the female, who was yelling at her boyfriend to give her phone back. The male advised he did not have her phone.
3:06 PM – Complainant reported a black Chevy Cruze having trouble maintaining lanes in the 600 block of Colonial Pkwy; unable to locate.
11:14 PM – Unknown subject broke into a vehicle in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. and took a purse, makeup bag, and leather jacket. Items in total of around $630.
Feb. 2
3:37 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. The male driver was cited and released for driving without a license.
3:39 PM – Complainant reported a black sports bike traveling at a high rate of speed in a residential area.
6:28 PM – Officers made contact with the individual on the bike in the 500 block of Ingram Rd.
7:20 PM – Officer assisted Natalia PD with a physical disturbance in the 400 block of Barlite Blvd.
8:29 PM – A male subject kicked in the front door of a residence in the 600 block of Curtis Ave. and assaulted his mother and his mother’s boyfriend. The subject departed the location but was found at his residence and was jailed. While at the jail, the subject was found to be in possession of less than two ounces of synthetic marijuana and was charged.
11:05 PM – Report of a brown Chevy S10 driving recklessly on W. Hondo Ave; unable to locate.
Feb. 3
8:48 AM – Complainant advised of burning in the city limits. Officer made location in the 100 block of N. Commercial Dr. and made contact, and the fire was put out.
9:16 AM – Complainant advised an electrical line was down towards the roadway on Hondo Ave. Officer made location and advised it’s a TV cable line down. It was relocated off the roadway.
10:02 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of Sollock Dr. advised the Medina County dispatcher that she and her child were in a closet because they heard someone messing with the front doorknob. Officers made location and searched around and inside the home; all was secure.
10:15 AM – Advised a white vehicle was driving in the area of the 300 block of Sollock Dr. and were possibly solicitors. Officer patrolled the area; unable to locate.
11:15 AM – Complainant in the 200 block of S. Teel Dr. requested an officer come by the business and view film of a theft that occurred Feb. 1 at 6:00 PM. Charges pending.
1:55 PM – Vehicle stopped on IH-35 SB for a traffic violation. The female driver was cited and released.
1:59 PM – Complainant found an iPhone.
3:18 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 600 block of Windy Knoll Dr. for a traffic violation. The female driver was cited and released.
Feb. 4
8:52 AM – Male subject walking with a hoodie and wearing a blue jacket in the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. One female dog loose in the area; unable to locate.
11:27 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Galbreath Ave. advised a male subject took a lawn mower valued at $100.
11:30 AM – Student at Devine Middle School assaulted a teacher.
3:05 PM – Crossing arms at Hondo Ave. not working properly. Contact was made and Union Pacific will be sending a tech.
9:15 PM – Complainant advised a white Dodge pickup with two males was in the 300 block of S. Teel Dr. looking through business windows; unable to locate.
Feb. 5
12:30 AM – Complainant reported a dirt bike going up and down Warhorse Dr.; unable to locate.
4:23 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of DuBose Ave. found a note on her front yard that was not okay to her.
7:55 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Dixon Dr. stated her boyfriend came to her house drunk and upset. She stated he pushed her. The boyfriend left prior to officers’ arrival. Charges pending for assault by contact.
10:03 PM – A male subject wearing a mask pulled a knife on a subject in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. and made threats. The subject was jailed.
Feb. 6
12:31 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Rossville advised he received a call from his 15-year-old son stating he was arguing with his dad’s ex-girlfriend. Officers made location and parties separated.
6:12 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Zig Zag Ave. stated a 15-year-old juvenile hit a wall with a broom because he did not want to do chores. Juvenile was counseled; all was okay.
6:30 PM – An unknown female walked out of Walmart with unpaid merchandise totaled at $105.55.
