Lytle Police Report Dec. 7-13

Dec. 7
9:39 AM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of an alarm. Officer made contact with the homeowner who stated his alarm was being worked on. All was okay.
2:24 PM – Officer responded to Yumm and talked to complainant in reference to a possible credit card skimmer. Officer made contact with the manager who stated the machines are checked twice a day and a skimmer was not at the location.
2:52 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 to assist Atascosa Co. for a BOLO on a silver Toyota Camry that was involved in a disturbance out in the county. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
3:55 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General to assist Atascosa EMS with a lady who had fallen.
7:00 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Adams St. and talked to complainant in regards to receiving a scam call.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to Yumm for a report of a suspicious man in the store. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. for Assault – Family Member –Impeding Breath and Assault Bodily Injury – Elderly. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Dec. 8
7:48 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
8:45 AM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of Benton City Rd. for report of an alarm. Officer arrived and made contact with the son of the residence who stated everything was okay.
5:49 PM – Officer responded to Unico Cattle Company to unlock a vehicle.
10:31 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S for a welfare check on a female who was involved in a crash on somewhere between Lytle and into Medina Co. Officer was unable to locate.
Dec. 9
4:51 AM – While on patrol, officer heard a loud explosion on IH 35 and FM 2790 E. Officer investigated and found an 18 wheeler had blown a tire after brakes had locked and overheated.
8:27 AM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of Bento City Rd. for a report of an alarm. Officer spoke to the homeowner who stated the alarm company will be contacted to check the system.
8:41 AM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Office St. for a report of a 17 YO refusing to go home. Officer spoke with the juvenile and explained the law. The juvenile then went home.
1:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officers in reference to additional debit/credit card abuse. The original case showed the carwash to be fraudulently out $360 with a new $320 on the new transactions totaling a $680 loss.
4:59 PM – Officer responded to CVS for a welfare check. Upon arrival, it was discovered to be a miss dial.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Railroad St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a 68 YO female patient.
Dec. 10
12:25 AM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Oak St. and talked to complainant in reference to hearing a loud crash in her bedroom closet. After further inspection, officer observed a couple of plastic storage drawers/containers fell over. No sign of criminal activity.
9:44 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to her estranged boyfriend continuously calling the complainant and her place of business along with driving by. The subject was contacted and advised to stop calling the complainant or her place of business.
12:26 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
6:20 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Diaz St. for a welfare check on two young girls walking on the roadway towards Natalia with backpacks. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:52 PM – Officer responded to Houston St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer reached the area, unable to locate.
8:51 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. and talked to complainant in reference to her son’s friend taking his bicycle without permission. Officer recovered the bicycle and the property was returned to the complainant who elected not to pursue a charge of theft.
Dec. 11
7:11 AM – Officer responded to Pirate Express for a report of an alarm.
7:22 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
8:51 AM – Officer responded to 20200 Blk. of IH 35 S for a report of a two vehicle crash. Both vehicles were unoccupied; one vehicle kicked out of park and rolled backwards into the second vehicle.
11:45 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious person at location and for issuance of a criminal trespass warning. The suspect departed prior to officer’s arrival.
12:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a couple soliciting in the parking lot.
1:30 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. to unlock a vehicle.
2:15 PM – Officers responded to N. Prairie St. at Cottage St. to assist Medina Co. with an assault victim. Officers were advised by the victim that the assault took place in Bexar Co. but did not want Bexar Co. S.O. notified. The victim was released to a friend.
5:55 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center to unlock a vehicle.
6:19 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
6:47 PM – Officer responded to Magnolia St. near S. Benton City Rd. for a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle had been parked at the location for the past five nights. The vehicle was red tagged with a 24 hour notice to remove or be impounded.
7:40 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officers in reference to a civil matter.
Dec. 12
6:30 AM – Officers escorted the Lytle High School Band convoy through Main St.
3:11 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
5:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of found property.
5:45 PM – Officers provided traffic control for the Santa’s Vehicle Parade.
7:45 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to being assaulted at the Walmart in Devine.
8:25 PM – Officers responded to Taco Bell to unlock a vehicle.
10:02 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Exit 131 for a report of a reckless driver in a small silver vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
Dec. 13
1:53 AM – Officer responded to McDonald’s and assisted motorist with a flat tire.
1:20 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB Frontage Rd. at Lytle-Somerset Rd. for a welfare check on an 18 wheeler that was stalled. Officer made contact with the driver who advised help was on the way.
5:52 PM – Officers responded to 18300 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of an alarm. Officer found the home to be secure.
6:13 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Fire Station #1 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:42 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at Mile Marker 132 and provided traffic control while a vehicle with a flat tire was towed.
9:37 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N. at Exit 133 for a report of a motorist who had almost hit a deer carcass laying in the roadway. Officer located the mutilated remains of a deer wrapped around a bumper laying in the road. Officer cleared the debris off the roadway.
