Lytle Police Report August 17-23

August 17
3:44 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of two people standing behind a vehicle in the parking lot. Officer spoke to them who stated they were saying goodbye prior to going to work.
8:37 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Community Cemetery (Laredo St.) for a report of a vehicle that damaged a fixed object.
9:00 AM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 at Priest Blvd. to assist with traffic control for the San Antonio Food Bank Distribution.
11:34 AM – Officers responded to Trophy Buck and talked to complainant in reference to a fraud. Two check were written and cashed from the business payroll account. The checks were deposited electronically.
11:54 AM – Officer responded to Lynda’s Trade Mart for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the wiring to the taillights were cut and wrapped on the front of the box trailer.
12:23 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of IH 35 SB for a report of a two vehicle crash.
1:39 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at FM 3175 Overpass for a report of a two vehicle crash.
4:33 PM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of a verbal family disturbance, a dispute over the child custody.
6:55 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Gray St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:20 PM – Officer responded to Bank St. at Main St. and talked to complainant in reference to being followed by a Nissan Armada driver by an unknown person. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
August 18
4:10 AM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailers for a report of an alarm.
7:05 AM – Officer responded to Pirate Express for a report of an alarm.
8:14 AM – Officer responded to Cabinet Creations for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, it was discovered the suspect cut the security fence to make access to the yard of the business. The owner of the business called back and reported a locked shed in the rear was also broken into.
8:33 AM – Officer was transferred a sexual assault case from SAPD. The case occurred in Lytle jurisdiction several years ago.
10:11 AM – Officer responded to Quicksilver Automotive and talked to complainant in reference to an adult male that was around the business looking at vehicles parked outside the business.
10:42 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
11:03 AM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church and provided funeral escort to the Coal Mine Cemetery.
2:17 PM – Officers responded to McDonald’s for a report of a hold up alarm. Upon arrival, it was discovered to be an employee hitting the button by accident.
2:27 PM – Officers responded to 100 Blk. of Hoffman Rd. to assist Texas DPS with a traffic accident.
6:39 PM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for a report of an alarm.
6:48 PM – While on patrol, officer observed a down tree on the 19200 Blk. of N Bank St.
7:18 PM – Officer responded to the 17000 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a report of a power pole close to falling over the roadway. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a tree that fell on top of a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was contacted.
8:10 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of the signal lights flashing red on all four sides. TXDOT was notified.
8:20 PM – Officer responded to 19900 Blk. of IH 35 for a report of loose cows. The cattle was located and moved back to the fenced area and the owner was contacted.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to the 17900 Blk. of FM 2790 S for a report of a leaning power line. The pole was discovered to be outside the city in Medina Co. Officer contacted Medina Co. and informed them of the pole line.
August 19
4:15 AM – Officer responded to Taco Bell for a report of an alarm.
4:20 AM – Officer responded to Big Text Trailers for a report of an alarm.
8:09 AM – Officer responded to 18900 Blk. of Live Oak St. for a report of a tree that fell on the city fence at the John Lott Park.
8:55 AM – Officers received a CPS Notification for an incident that occurred in Medina Co. inside the city limits. The case is under investigation.
9:35 AM – Officer responded to 18700 Blk. of IH 35 N to assist Atascosa Co. with a 911 hang up call.
9:57 AM – Officers responded to Camino Real for a report of a disorderly patient with a mental crisis. The male was transported by Atascosa Co. Deputies on a mental health warrant.
12:00 PM – Officers responded to Alexander Insurance Agency for a report of a suspicious person stealing water.
12:25 PM – While at HEB Plus officers were approached by an elderly male who couldn’t find his elderly wife. After a short search, the female was observed in the checkout line.
1:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a male wanting to talk to the Police. Upon arrival, officer was advised the male had departed the store.
4:35 PM – Officers responded to Main St. at FM 2790 N for a report of a two vehicle crash.
5:18 PM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Laney’s Catch for a report of an alarm. Officer found the residence to be secure.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to Chevron for a report of a male juvenile that was attacked in the parking lot by a pit bull. The dog ripped the victim’s pants and didn’t actually bite the victim.
August 20
3:28 AM – While conducting a foot patrol at the John Lott Park, officer discovered a bench that was dismantled and arranged on a picnic table by the concession stand. City hall was notified.
5:22 AM – Officer assisted the public with a courtesy ride home.
5:38 AM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Office St. to assist Atascosa EMS with an unresponsive diabetic patient.
9:40 AM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a water meter angle stop being cut off.
10:25 AM – Officer talked to complainant in reference to her vehicle being damaged at Dollar General. The driver rear door of her 2017 Equinox was scratched and dented.
10:41 AM – Officers responded to 14800 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of an alarm.
11:48 AM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Short St. to assist EMS with a 6 YO female that was dealing with mental health issues.
3:04 PM – Officer responded to Chevron for a report of suspicious activity.
3:18 PM – Officer responded to Twin Liquors for a report of a theft of a bottle of scotch. Total estimated loss $90.
5:30 PM – Officers responded to Quicksilver Automotive for a report of a gray 2015 Nissan Sentra that was taken from the business on 8/18/20.
6:45 PM – Officer responded to Pachangon Auto Sales to unlock a vehicle.
11:43 PM – Bexar Co. Sheriff Office recovered a vehicle that was entered stolen earlier in the day. It was recovered on Greenwood Rd.
August 21
5:51 AM – Officer responded to Napa Auto Parts and talked to complainant in regards to her fiancé who was missing. While talking to the complainant, the fiancé walked up to the location.
8:25 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints.
8:41 AM – Officers responded to Country View Apartments for a report of a disturbance between the complainant and his ex-girlfriend. All was verbal, no offense occurred.
9:02 AM – Officers responded to Country View Apartments for a report of a disturbance. The female had returned to the apartment and stated she was waiting for her ex- boyfriend to meet her at the bank so he could give her $200. The female departed and the exboyfriend agreed to meet her at the bank.
10:45 AM – Officers responded to Hurley Funeral Home and provided funeral escort.
2:25 PM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. Main St. to assist a disabled motorist.
4:28 PM – Officer responded to the El Buffalo Pawn to assist with unlocking a vehicle.
7:03 PM – Officers responded to FM 3175 @ IH 35 Frontage Road for a reported 2 vehicle crash. It was reported that 2 subjects fled from the scene on foot. The subjects were located by officers hiding in the grass nearby. A 44-year-old male subject was arrested for DWI 1st Offense Enhanced BAC >.15 and Accident Involving Damage to Vehicle >$200. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.
9:51 PM – Officer responded to the Pecan Grove Apts. for a reported disturbance. All was verbal and the subjects separated for the evening.
August 22
11:12 AM – Officers responded to Main St. @ S. Prairie St. for a 2 vehicle hit & run accident.
11:12 AM – While investigating the previous crash Officers located and seized drug paraphernalia.
12:58 PM – Officer responded to the Cate Professional Bldg. for a reported suspicious vehicle.
7:09 PM – Officer responded to the Bealls for a report of several cars in the parking lot. It was determined to be a birthday party.
10:17 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Fire Station to assist EMS.
August 23
4:00 PM – Officer responded to Lake Shore Dr. for a report of a kid driving a golf cart. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:30 PM – Officers provided and escort thru town on IH 35 for an immigration officer who died of COVID19.
8:17 PM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of an alarm. Officer spoke with the manager who stated it was an accidental activation.
