Lytle Police Report Aug.23-29

Aug. 23
5:00 AM – Officer provided a courtesy ride for a missing 71 YO male to Nacogdoches, Texas. The male was discovered confused on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the Bill Millers. No other transportation options were available.
7:20 AM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of an alarm. Officer made contact with the manager of the store and was advised everything was okay.
8:05 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Lake St. for a report of a dog chasing kids as they walked to school. Officer located 2 Labs that were not on leashes or fenced in the yard. ACO was notified.
1:30 PM – Officer responded to Lytle One Stop Mini Storage and talked to complainant in reference to his storage unit being cleaned out. Everything was taken out of the storage unit; it was even swept clean. Follow up with the owner is pending.
2:05 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
2:20 PM – Officers responded to 15900 Blk. of CR 681 for a welfare check on an elderly male. Officers made contact with the male, everything was okay.
4:37 PM – Officer responded to StarCross Trail for a report of a solicitor. Officer contacted the solicitor and advised him that he needed a permit to sell door to door inside the city limits.
4:45 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Martin St. for a report of a hospice death.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to follow up on a case.
Aug. 24
1:23 AM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. Officers spoke to the victim who stated the suspect(s) stole roughly $200 of an assortment of items.
6:50 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. A Glock 21 was reported stolen from underneath the back seat of the vehicle.
10:27 AM – Officer responded to Sun Loans for a report of a suspicious white vehicle that had been parked outside the business for the past two days. The vehicle was registered to a local and was legally parked.
10:50 AM – Funeral escort St. Andrew’s Church to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
12:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to issue a Criminal Trespass Warning to a female shopper that committed a theft the previous week. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the female had fled the area.
2:52 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer about a stolen/missing headstone. It was determined the headstone was not missing.
7:50 PM – Officers responded to 18900 Blk. of N Prairie St. for a report of a verbal argument. Officers made contact with the complainant and stated his wife took his belongings and he was not able to leave.
9:10 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a suspicious person. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
10:45 PM – Officers responded to 21100 Blk. of Naegelin Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a business alarm. Upon arrival, all was secure.
11:55 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 at FM 3175 for a 911 hang up call. During the traffic stop, the driver stated he was the one looking for the police. The caller stated he was taking his son to his apartment to stay the night because his mother was not home.
Aug. 25
1:51 PM – Officer served a person with a copy of Emergency Protective Order on an open case. The original was hand delivered to the Lytle Municipal Court.
3:30 PM – Officer responded to 300 Blk. of CR 6841 and talked to complainant in reference to a passing black Lincoln Navigator that struck complainant’s dog and drove off.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to Trophy Buck for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
6:05 PM – Officer responded to Big Tex Trailer and initiated a field contact with an occupant of a truck parked at the entrance of the building. The individual stated she was there to pick up a part for her son. Officer will follow up with the business owner to verify the story.
11:10 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. at IH 35 SB Frontage Rd. and patrolled the area on foot after hearing a crash noise from behind a trailer. Officer was unable to locate any subjects.
Aug. 26
7:47 AM – Officer responded to Bealls Parking Lot for a report of the overhead bar entering the parking lot hanging down presenting a danger for entering and exiting vehicle damage.
11:00 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real for a report of a suspicious vehicle, a green pickup driving slowly through the parking lot that had already left the area. Atascosa Co. Deputy was on scene when officer arrived. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
9:15 PM – Responded to Main St. for a report of marijuana smoke & loud noise coming from a residence.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to Pirate Express for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:45 PM – Officer responded to the 100 Blk. of Meadow Brook to assist Atascosa Co. with a burglary in progress at a residence. Officers arrived and discovered two men and a woman at the address. All three were detained until the Deputy arrived. The homeowner arrived and provided video that showed the two men on his property. Both men were arrested by an Atascosa Co. Deputy.
Aug. 27
8:34 AM – Officer responded to Bad Vibes Studio for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:37 AM – Officers responded to Hurley Funeral Home and provided escort to the Lytle Masonic Cemetery.
10:20 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for report of a two vehicle crash.
1:45 PM – Officer responded to Diamond B Trail at Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a suspicious male riding a bicycle in the area. The male was seen entering then exiting the vacant residence on the corner of Diamond B Trail and StarCross Trail.
3:05 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
5:30 PM – Officers attended a 90th birthday at 15200 Blk. of Cottage St.
Aug. 28
5:15 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. in reference to burglary lights going off. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:45 AM – Officer responded to Chevron for a welfare check due to the fact the store was not attended by the clerk.
3:35 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of an assault. Case is under investigation.
4:12 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a reckless driver.
7:18 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a theft in progress. Upon arrival, the female subject was detained at the manager’s office. The female subject was arrested for Theft < $100. She was cited and released with a Criminal Trespass Notice.
8:43 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 Access Rd. at McDonald St. for a report of a group of girls walking on the road and the complainant almost hit them. Officer made contact with the group who stated they were headed to the park. Officer advised them to stay off the roadway.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 Access Rd. at FM 3175 for a report of a wrong-way driver while the complainant was following behind. Officer made contact with the driver and determined the driver to be intoxicated. A 48-year-old male subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or more. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Aug. 29
3:46 AM – Officer responded to the 600 Blk. of W 476 to assist Atascosa Co. with a traffic stop.
2:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a seizure patient. The patient recovered and was released to a family member.
3:30 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of an ex-daughter-in-law that showed up to pick up some property that she left behind when she lived on the property. The complainant requested a Trespass Warning and officer verbally issued the warning. The female subject agreed not to return to the property.
6:15 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Lake St. and talked to complainant in reference to her daughter being harassed by a 15 YO male subject. The juvenile drove by her residence and “flipped off” her juvenile daughter and threw a water bottle into her yard.
