Lytle Police Report April 9-15


April 9

7:08 AM – Officer responded to 19900 Blk. of Rocky’s Circle and talked to complainant in regards to her daughter being at her boyfriend’s house and complainant wanted her daughter to go home with her.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at N. Prairie St. and removed debris from roadway that was creating a traffic hazard.
1:22 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 on ramp at Mile Marker 133 NB for a report of a board in the roadway with nails sticking out. Officer located item and removed from roadway.
1:26 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Lake Wind for a report of a civil matter.
2:50 PM – Officer responded to AutoZone for a report of abandoned contraband found on the sidewalk. After further inspection, it was determined that the substance was not contraband.
5:33 PM – Officer responded to 19600 Martin St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a life assist.
April 10
12:30 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Primary School and talked to complainant in regards to her vehicle being struck at HEB Plus the day before.
2:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a two vehicle crash.
6:12 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious customer. Officers made location and determined no crime had occurred.
9:40 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Bruce St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
April 11
2:58 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
7:26 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Primary School for a report of a verbal disturbance between a male and a female. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
8:46 AM – Officer responded to FM 463 (just outside city limits) for a report of a donkey on the road. Officer arrived and located a donkey and 4 cows on the road. The animals went through an open fence into a corn field. Officer advised Medina Co. S.O. of the situation.
9:05 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S Access Rd. for a report of a reckless driver, officer was unable to locate.
9:45 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Short St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a female patient.
April 12
1:52 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 off ramp to assist Atascosa Co. S.O. with a stranded motorist. Officer arrived and supplied fuel to an elderly male.
8:20 AM – Officer responded to Pirates Cove to unlock a vehicle.
12:18 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a verbal disturbance between a manager and a homeless traveler. A criminal trespass notice was issued at the request of the manager.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to Lytle High School to assist Medina Co. SRO with an investigation.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell to unlock a vehicle.
6:20 PM – Officer was contacted in reference to found property at 19400 Blk. of N. Somerset St. It was advised the property belonged to Lytle ISD. Officer turned property over to the rightful owner.
April 13
12:25 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Hester St. for a report of a natural death.
11:15 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of a sexual assault. Case under investigation.
1:45 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to harassment.
2:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to an accident that occurred 2 days prior. Officer advised complainant that a report could not be filed due to the time frame and vehicle being relocated.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to Express Rent to Own for an alarm.
10:45 PM – Officers responded to Best Western for a welfare check on an adult female in a guest room. Officers made contact, all was normal.
April 14
12:29 AM – Officers responded to 14500 Blk. of FM 2790 for a report of a disturbance. Officers made contact with the complainant who stated she did not want the male party at the residence. Officers removed the male and provided a courtesy ride to the Loves gas station in Natalia.
1:20 AM – Report of a reckless driver resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old male subject for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd Offense / No Test / Open Container. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and vehicle was towed.
10:45 AM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 and provided a funeral escort for Hurley Funeral Home to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
10:50 AM – Officer was dispatched to HEB Plus and talked to complainant in regards to an open carry gun violation. Officer was cancelled while conducting the funeral escort.
11:30 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a traffic hazard, an unknown vehicle leaked oil on the roadway. Lytle Public Works made the scene and spread dirt on the roadway.
2:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
April 15
9:00 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 at FM 463 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate.
10:00 AM – Officer responded to First Baptist Church to unlock a vehicle.
12:20 PM – Officer responded to TXDOT Park and Ride for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. An unknown person(s) forcibly entered a vehicle and stole the car stereo valued at $400.
1:18 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 N. Access Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. S.O. with locating a vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a female suspect who was confronted about taking a cart full of merchandise. Suspect departed prior to officer’s arrival and $96.91 in merchandise was recovered.
6:30 PM – Officer responded to TXDOT Park and Ride for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. An unknown person(s) took the vehicle’s front grill and a driver side window was broken.
