The Lytle Pirate Cross Country team captured the District 27-3A championship in Poth Monday morning. Lytle was led by JoseCarlos Hernandez’s second-place finish and 17:39 three-mile time. Robert Wagner (4th), Jose Cortez (5th), Gregorio Alcorta (7th), and Kyle Mueller (8th) all finished in the top 10.
The first place team championship guarantees all runners will compete in next month’s Regional meet in Corpus Christi.
