Lady Pirates finish pre-district 7-5

Lady Pirate Noelia Medina puts some points on the board.

The girls dedicated the game last night to their parents as we recognized all 10 of our amazing parents. I always say I am blessed with some of the best parents in Lytle. The girls came out strong on defense and Uvalde struggled to break our press we were up 26-2 at the end of the first quarter. When the buzzer sounded it was 59-24 Lytle. This was a big TEAM win with everyone getting valuable minutes as we start district next Tuesday.
Calyssa Sevier led the way again in scoring with 19 points and 9 assists. Kylie Mask followed with 11 points and 4 steals. Fizz Hutton had 8 points and a season high 10 steals. Martinez and Medina both had 6 points and Martinez had some great passes to her teammates. Ramos had 5 points and Nagelin had 4 points. The girls will finish off the preseason this Friday here in Lytle against Canyon Lake tip off 6:30. We are 6-5 for the year. Go Pirates!!!
The girls came out aggressive Friday night with our full court press and held Canyon to only 4 points at the half. It was a great TEAM win with everyone getting minutes before we start district tomorrow against Poth.
