The Lady Pirate and JV Lady Pirate track teams made the trip to district-rival Poth last week to compete in the Pirate Relays. The varsity squad placed fourth and the JV won the team championship of that division.
Moriah Gomez, Samantha Mujica, Calyssa Sevier, and Marissa Lopez sprinted to a gold medal in the 4x400m Relay earning twenty points for their team score. Lopez also won a gold medal in the 800m Dash.
Gold medal winning JV Lady Pirates included Nivea Sanchez in the 3200m Run, Amelia Martinez in the 100m Dash, and Annabella Lopez in the 100m Hurdles.
This was only the second meet of the season for Lytle as their home invitational was canceled the previous week due to inclement weather.
The Lady Pirate teams travel to Dilley Wednesday, March 9 for the Wolf Pack Relays.
