Lady Mustangs put up a great fight against tough Poth team

Lady Mustang Tina Fulton plays tough defense in a recent game.

The Lady Mustangs played an incredible game on December 21st against the #11 state ranked 3A team. Poth is 16-1 (they lost to Devine) and reporting undefeated in district. Natalia made them work hard for the win and it proves how tough Natalia has become this season. Being five games into district, Natalia is 2-3 with Cotulla and Poth sits on top with Lytle, Karnes City, and Jourdanton at 4-1.
Tuesday before the holiday break, Natalia fell 32-46 to Poth. Natalia kept up with the Pirates and did not let them run away with the game. Natalia won the first at 13-9. They will take on Dilley on December 28th, West Campos December 31st and then Karnes City on January 4th.
Jelli Padilla scored 10 points, Kylee Spangler had 8, Bella Martinez 6, Trina Vera 3, McAiyla Ruiz 3, and Yahdi Lujan scored 2 points. Q1 13-9, Q2 21-21, Q2 24-38, 32-46.
