Lady Mustangs beat the Dilley Wolves 3-2

District is half over for the Lady Mustangs and they were 6-2 before they faced Jourdanton in Natalia last night. Their two losses came from Jourdanton in late August and to Poth last week. This strong team is still in the running for playoffs and will continue to add wins to their record in the second half of district.
September 21st at home, Natalia took on the district leaders, Poth. This game was hard on Natalia but they held their heads up and kept playing. They lost 10-25, 12-25, and 10-25. They will face Poth in their last district game on October 26th.

Friday night, the Wolves came to Natalia and were sent back to Dilley with a 3-2 loss. Natalia was on top the first set at 25-12 but then they dropped the second set 18-25. Set three was a fight by both teams with Natalia coming up short after pushing the score to 25-27. Tired of being behind they won the fourth set in another close match at 25-23. In the final set both teams could see the win but it was the Lady Mustangs that were the better team and they won it 15-13.
Fulton 4 aces, 8 digs. Gunn 3 aces, 15 assists. Padilla 15 kills. Spangler 7 kill. Katie Curiel 7 kills, 1 block. Martinez 12 assists. Jones 5 assists. Ruiz 6 digs.
The Lady Mustangs take on West Campos in Natalia this Friday and they play in Cotulla October 5th. They do not have a game on October 8th.
