JV Warhorses take on Crystal City, beat Pearsall

With just two games left, the JV Warhorses are tearing through district with a 3-3 district record and 12-14 overall. Facing Crystal City and Pearsall last week, they will play Hondo at home this Friday and in Carrizo Springs Tuesday.
Falling to Crystal City by just 3 on February 4th, the Warhorses played aggressively but could not come from behind to get the win. “Free throws and defense did us in. We could not block out and limit them to one shot. We missed 9 free throws and lost by 3. We will keep getting better.” Coach Evan Eads

The Warhorses turned it around when they played Pearsall on Friday night. Winning 57-39, they took command of the ball and had a defense that forced shots from the outside. “Our defense was better and the score showed. We executed offense. We have two more games and the kids want to win them both!” Coach Eads
