JV Warhorses split final games before district

The JV Warhorses went 1-1 last week. Now 8-4 they started district last night against Somerset and are looking to win every district game they get to play. They will play at home against YMLA on January 19th and Somerset on January 29th. Their Brooks Academy and Fox Tech games have been canceled.
The boys “fell short of the effort needed to win against Uvalde. We need lot of improvement on our skills, but effort should never be lacking,” said Coach Evan Eads. They lost 38-75 to fall to 7-4.

Renewed energy and determination helped the JV Warhorses beat Carrizo Springs last Friday. Winning 64-31, Coach Eads was please with how his team played. “Our effort against Carrizo Springs was much better. Devine had four kids score double digits and they took charges. As a team they made 20 free throws. It was a complete game,” said Coach Eads.
