JV Warhorses fight Bulldogs

With just two games left, the JV Warhorses are currently 18-9 overall and 1-4 in district after falling to Somerset on February 1st. They will face Young Men’s Leadership Academy on February 8th and then finish the season at home on February 11th against Brooks Academy.
The Bulldogs came out and took control in the first to lead 24-2. The Warhorses held strong in the second and scored 11 to their 16. They did not let Somerset take control of the second half and continued to play at their level. Devine could not close the gap and fell 32-62.
“The game got away quickly as Somerset opened up with 24 points in the 1st quarter and us only scoring 2 The team played better and more physical throughout the contest but Somerset was much bigger and more physical. JV record is now 18-9 on the season 1-4 in district play,” added Coach Gary Schmidt.
