JV Mustangs dominate Randolph Ro-Hawks

The Natalia JV Mustangs were able to push their 2019 season record to 2-0 with a home victory last Thursday vs. the visiting Universal City Randolph Ro-Hawks. Freshman RB Nate Banda worked hard behind his offensive line scoring three touchdowns as the entire defense did their job pitching the shut-out.
“We have started the season with two shut-outs in a row,” Natalia JV Coach Jeff Terry said. “This shows the great energy our kids are playing with on the defensive side of the football. Offensively, we did a great job of sustaining drives and controlling time of possession.”
Banda’s success led the Stangs to the 18-0 victory. Defensively, Joey Blanquiz accounted for a fumble recovery and Tanner Crone an interception.
The JV Mustangs will travel down the road to Lytle this coming Thursday at Walter Joyce Stadium at 5:30 p.m.
“Anytime you play Lytle, not much needs to be said to get our boys fired up,” Terry said. “We are looking forward to the challenge.”
