The JV Lady Pirates are taking advantage of every game they play. They beat Poteet 45-12 on Jan 8th. Defense was the biggest factor in this game as they only allowed “six points in the first quarter, four in the second, and two points in the third. It was a big team effort,” Coach Ivan Mason said.
Sophia Hutton 14 points, Nicole Godines 10, Katara Whitfield 8, Kayle Diaz 4, Jessica Mata 4, and Campbele Aldridge 4.
Now 7-5 overall and 3-0 in district, the JV Lady Pirates will move on to face Poth on Jan 15th, Natalia on Jan 19th, and Cotulla on Jan 22nd.
