JV Lady Mustangs play a faster-paced Marion

Marion was a loss for the JV Lady Mustangs but it was a chance to play against a tough opponent and under stress of being behind. “Although we didn’t get the win, I am proud of the way this team played under pressure and I know we are better from it. The game was a much faster pace than we are used to at the JV level so it was a great measure of where we are at. The girls stepped up and did a great job earning point, than relying on our opponent to make a mistake. Their commitment in practice allowed them to execute tonight, and we are happy to see that,” said Coach Tara Cortinas.
Stat leaders: Aces: Briana Paredes 2, McAiyla Ruiz 2, Dominique Banda 2. Kills: Heidi Vasquez 2, Ruiz 2. Assists: Isabella Martinez 3. Digs: Genesis Perez 3, Paredes 3.
The JV Lady Mustangs will head to Carrizo Springs this Friday and then play at home September 13th against Pearsall.
