JV face Antonian and Fredericksburg

Vs Antonian
The JV Arabians had a rough night against Antonian Prep on September 17th. They struggled on serve reception to get the ball into play. “But the girls played hard and are continuing to improve. Our hitters were making great decisions on where to place the ball, our back row was getting up some tough hits, and Amber DuBose is doing an incredible job setting!” said Coach Kailee Ramirez.
Lacey Shook 4 kills, 2 digs, 4 serves. DuBose 2 digs, 2 serves. Zoe Gonzales 3 kills, 1 dig, 2 serves. Darian Alvarez 4 serves. Bri Torres 3 serves. Brooklyn Crossland 2 serves. Cece Martinez 3 digs, 1 serve.
Vs Fredericksburg
Playing in Fredericksburg on September 20th, the JV Arabian squad started off a little slow but came back after losing the first set 21-25 to win the last two sets and the match. They beat Fredericksburg 25-19 and 25-19 in sets two and three.
“The girls started off a little slow, but we quickly found our rhythm and were able to come out on top. All of the girls are starting to become comfortable being leaders on the court and they are really starting to play as a team. I love seeing them get excited for each other and this was a big win for them. We still have a few things to work on before District, but I am excited to see how the rest of the season goes for this team,” said Coach Ramirez.
The JV Arabians will play their first district game in Carrizo Springs this Friday night and then at home next Tuesday against Crystal City. Currently they hold a season record of 9-8.
