JV Arabians take down two

Now 17-6, the JV Arabians keep improving this season and are showing no signs of stopping. They will face Young Women’s Leadership Academy on October 19th, Brooks on October 22nd, and their last game will be at home against Fox Tech on October 26th.
Tuesday against Fox Tech, the Arabians won in two sets but “this was not our cleanest game. We made more errors tonight then we have in the last few weeks combined. But when we needed to earn points, the girls pulled thru and earned them,” said Coach Leigh Anne McIver. Devine won 25-16 and 25-21.
Karsyn Brown 2 digs, 3 kills. Neenah Guerrero 7 digs, 1 assist, 1 ace. Kaylee Romano 6 digs, 2 aces. Kate Featherly 8 assists, 3 aces. Makayla Rivera 2 digs, 2 kills. Denise Contreras 1 dig, 4 kills. Kelsey Dishman 5 digs, 6 assists, 2 aces, 2 kills. Avery Cruz 3 kills. Maddie DuBose 4 aces, 1 kill, 1 block.
In a much better game against Brooks Academy, the JV Arabians quickly took them down at 25-9 and 25-5. “The girls did a great job of keeping their focus during the sets. We had a little trouble with our serves in the first set but the girls took care of them in the second set,” added Coach McIver.
