JV Arabians play aggressive sets against Poth

On September 10th, the JV Arabians faced Poth and played three aggressively tight sets against the tougher team. The Arabians won the first set 25-22, and fought hard in the second but lost 22-25. In the third set, the Arabians held strong and worked hard for every point but Poth was just a little stronger and the Arabians lost 21-25.
“Poth was one of the best teams we have played so far, and we kept it close all three sets. The girls did some fantastic things throughout the game! At the end of the day, we made a few more mistakes than them and that is okay. We are using each game to see what we need to work on before District rolls around and these girls have come so far since the beginning of this season. Zoe Gonzales, Bri Torres, Lacey Shook, Darian Alvarez, and Kaitlyn Morales have all found a new power behind their swings and are making great decisions on where to place the ball when they hit. Amber DuBose has figured out where each of her hitters like their sets and is doing a great job of trying to set them each up for success. CeCe Martinez and Brooklyn Crossland are getting better at reading hitters shoulders and getting the ball up in order to give us an opportunity to hit. I am so proud of all of these girls and love watching them grow individually and as a team,” said Coach Kailee Ramirez.
The JV Arabians will head to Fredericksburg this Friday and then to Cole on Tuesday. September 27th is their first district game in Carrizo Springs.
