JV Arabians beat Somerset, fall to Pleasanton

Somerset was no match for the Junior Varsity Arabians on December 12th. The JV Arabians came out hard and fast against the Lady Bulldogs with a first quarter score of 17-4, but in the second quarter the Lady Bull dogs took advantage of the weakened defense and closed the score to 26-16. Coming out in the second half, the JV Arabians put their offense and defense into high gear and dominated the court. With a final score of 55-24, the Arabians scored twice as many points as their opponents.

Facing Pleasanton last Friday, the JV Arabians lost 32-37. Playing aggressively in the first half and leading 25-20, the second half just did not go their way. Unable to get a shot to sink, the JV struggled with some miscommunications. Their rally in the 4th quarter was just not enough for the win. Taylor and Smith each had 7, Aaron 6, Rodriguez 4, Garza 2, Pompa 2 and Geyer 1 point.
The JV Arabians have a season record of 7-3.
