Devine’s future Arabian powerlifters competed at the Texas Strength Systems JV Invitational last Thursday evening on the campus of UTSA. Five Devine lifters combined for 24 points to finish second overall, just behind neighbor Natalia who posted 52 points for the team championship.
“We had a great opportunity for our new lifters to compete in the JV Meet at TSS-UTSA,” stated Head Coach Paul Gomez. “I was really proud of our lifters as most increased their totals from the meet prior. Our JV girls got 2nd place as a team, with two lifters competing in their first meet of the year. Jeanette Rios (1st place) and Aaliyah Terrazas (2nd place) performed great. All lifters did a great job of competing and representing Devine.”
