Jose “Joe” Mojica, Jr.

Jose “Joe” Mojica, Jr., age 51, of Castroville, passed away on April 26, 2018 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born November 23, 1966 in San Antonio, the only son of Jose Mojica, Sr. and Victoria Garcia Mojica.
Joe was a 1986 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father; a good son who took care of his parents; an excellent nurse; past president of the Medina Valley Youth Soccer Association; Boy Scout leader and a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan that loved to barbeque. Joe was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. On March 10, 1994, Joe married Elizabeth “Lisa” Rossett. They were blessed with twenty-four years of marriage, three daughters and one son.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Victoria and his sister, Yvette Mojica.
Survivors include his loving wife, Elizabeth “Lisa” Mojica of Castroville; children, Mariah Mojica, Zachary Mojica, Brittany Mojica and Bethany Mojica, all of Castroville; a granddaughter that is expected soon; father, Jose Mojica, Sr. of San Antonio; sister, Veronica Mojica Ramirez and husband Richard of Elmendorf.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 starting at 5:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. A reception will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Grace Parish Hall.
Memorials may be made in Joe’s memory to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
