Marion W. Taylor, of Devine, passed away Thursday April 26,2018 in Devine at the age of 79.
He was born December 20, 1938 in Chillicothe, Texas to John W. and Hazel (Nelson) Taylor, both who precede him in death, along with his brother Carl N. Taylor.
On June 6, 1964 he married Norma Gaile Stockton in San Marcos. She survives him along with his son, Scott Taylor and wife Nikki; daughter Rhonda Gayle and husband J. Kyle; sisters, Anna Herring and husband Charles, Barbara York and husband Ron; grandchildren, Sierra Zinsmeyer and husband Beau, Jerrod Taylor, Allyson Taylor, Sarah McKeon and husband Corey, Aaron Gayle and wife Natasha, Rachel Gayle, Daniel Gayle, Katie Gayle; and great-granddaughter, Audrey Gayle.
Marion proudly served as Justice of the Peace in Medina County Precinct 4 for twenty-five years before retiring in 2006.
Visitation was held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with family receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine.
Funeral service was Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Devine, with interment to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Devine.
