It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Champ, Jose Angel Mancillas.
Jose entered eternal rest on February 23, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 40. He was born on March 21, 1984, in Dallas, Texas to parents Reynaldo and Juanita Mancillas.
Jose was a devoted and hardworking family man, whose life was a testament to love and dedication. His ability to inspire those around him was rooted in his unwavering support, infectious laughter, and a heart full of love.
Jose leaves behind his beloved parents Reynaldo and Juanita Mancillas, siblings Lorena Chavez, Nora Mancillas, Reymundo Mancillas; best-friend Celeste Mancillas, children Jose Angel Mancillas, Jr., Celest Leiann Mancillas, Zerina Olivia Mancillas; granddaughter Loyalty Love Gonzales; nieces and nephews Fernando Chavez, Jr., Kasandra Chavez, Amy Chavez, Jamie Chavez, Adan Aleman; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and co-family (co-workers).
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandma Lydia Kochis, Paternal grandpa Manuel Mancillas.
To honor Jose’s remarkable spirit, a public visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:30 PM at Primrose Funeral Services Devine, Texas. Mass will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine, Texas with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends, family, and all who knew and loved Jose are invited to join in these ceremonies, where we will gather to celebrate a life filled with joy and remembrance.
The family invites everyone to a meal that will be served following the interment between 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Prosperity in Christ Church, 339 W. Hutchins Place, San Antonio, Texas 78221.
His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so freely gave.
