Rene Hinojosa is the new City Administrator/Secretary for the City of Natalia, taking over for the recently departed Lisa Hernandez.
Mayor Tommy Ortiz performed a ceremonial swearing in of Hinojosa and Municipal Court clerk Nichole Bermea, who was promoted to Assistant City Secretary, during the Natalia City Council meeting held on Monday, July 20.
Hinojosa comes to Natalia from Alice, TX, after 12 years working in Saudi Arabia with the Saudi military. Upon his return to Texas, he enrolled in Texas A&M Corpus Christi and received a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in May.
He recently completed an internship in the Texas House of Representatives with State Representative J.M. Lozano, and looks forward to meeting and working with the residents of Natalia.
