Gary Blake Savage, Sr.

Gary Blake Savage, Sr. went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2021. He was born in Pearsall, Tx, on July 27, 1948. He passed at his home in Blanco, Tx surrounded by his wife and family.
Gary grew up and attended school in Natalia, where he worked in the grocery business with his family. He then started a long career and retired from Frito Lay after 25 years. He went to work with Super S (Lowes) and served as a reserve officer in the Medina County Sherriff’s Department in Devine.
While living in Devine, Gary met and married the love of his life, Jimmie. They were married for almost 48 years and together they traveled the US. They traveled with family and friends creating wonderful memories for all.
The love they had for on another was remarkable.
Gary was extremely proud of all his kids and grandkids. He was tough, big hearted, generous and always looked for ways to help others.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Hal Savage and Faye Foster. He is survived by his wife Jimmie, daughters – Terrie (Florida), Sharon & husband Mark (LaGrange), Jennifer (Devine), Susie (San Antonio) and son Gary Blake Jr (Spring Branch), 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 nephews, 1 niece, and his sisters Kathy and Jean.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s honor can be made to the American Cancer Society. Expressions of sympathy can be sent to the family at:
