Playing Fredericksburg on January 24th, the Freshman Arabians took them down quickly. Winning 44-11, the Freshman are putting together everything they have learned this season and are ready to move up to the next level of play.
“We knew we would have to come out intense as we played this team before and knew they would be looking for some revenge. The girls did exactly that and never stopped. We played good on defense as we communicated and worked together to get stops. Offensively, we pushed the ball up the floor and were able to finish which is something we had been working on this past week. We also slowed down when necessary and got some great looks running the plays. Overall, I’m proud of the girls’ efforts and it always feels good to come out on top,” said Coach Kara Stacy.
Points: Lynn Lawler 8, Abby Saunders 8, Jilliyn Guarjardo 7, Hannah Brumage 5, Brooke Thompson 14, and Savannah Parker 2. Q1 16-2, Q2 24-8, Q3 37-10, Q4 44-11.
Last night the Freshman Arabians played against Somerset and are looking for a game to play this Friday. As of Monday night they are 5-6.
