Fillys XC place 3rd at FEAST

Thirty-one schools ran representatives at the FEAST Invitational this past Saturday out by the Amphitheater in San Antonio. As a team the Devine Fillys finished in third place overall of the twelve schools that had the minimum amount of runners to constitute a Cross Country team.
The Fillys top five runners scored 103 points, narrowly topping the fourth place team finish by 5 points. San Antonio Swift Track Club (which isn’t a ‘school’ so-to-speak) and host and homeschool FEAST claimed the top two spots with 42 and 49 points respectively.
This meet is the biggest meet Devine’s middle schoolers have competed in quite some time as 127 runners were present at the beginning of the two-mile race. Runners were not separated by seventh or eighth grade levels in the final results.
The top five places to lead the Fillys were Anna Cale Harrison (19th), Airyanna Rodriguez (24th), Dani Gutierrez (27th), Charlee Rangel (34th), and Kenadi Marek (38th).
