Elva Juanita Powell Fields, born April 6, 1929, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 90 years.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, David Allen Fields, mother, Anna Mae (Westfall) Powell, father T.H. Powell, brother William Lloyd Powell, sister Helen (Powell) Rice, son William Wayne Pierce, daughter Darlene Fay (Pierce) Potter, sons-in-law, Larry Walton and Manuel Garcia.
She is survived by her daughters, Anita Carol (Pierce) Walton and Glenna Joy (Pierce) Garcia, son Otis Ollie Pierce, Jr. (wife Andrea), son-in-law Merrill Clinton Potter, Jr., sisters, Darlene Bernice (Powell) Wiemers and Barbara Ann (Powell) Roland, 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great -grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd from 2 until 4 p.m. at Funeral Caring USA located at 6902 NE Loop 410 in San Antonio 78219. Graveside internment will be at Ft. Sam Houston on Thursday, May 9th at 1:30 p.m.
