Darlene Fay Pierce Potter, born October 9, 1947 in Natalia, Texas, went to be with our Lord on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 71 years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Otis Ollie Pierce, Sr., step-father, David Allen Fields, step-mother, Hazel Floyd Pierce, daughter, Connie Lee Cain, brother, William Wayne Pierce, brothers-in-law, Larry Walton, Manuel Garcia, George Potter and Charles Potter, and sisters-in-law, Patricia (Potter) Howard and Margaret (Potter) Mock.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Merrill Clinton Potter, Jr., mother, Elva Juanita Powell Fields, son, Joseph Anthony Cain III, (wife Tammy), son, Michael Clinton Potter (wife Barbara), sisters, Anita Carol (Pierce) Walton, and Glenna Joy (Pierce) Garcia, brother Otis Ollie Pierce, Jr. (wife Andrea), sisters-in-law Linda (Potter) Quening (husband Dave), six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives.
Visitation will take place at Alta Vista Funeral Home in Natalia from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st and funeral services will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hondo on Thursday, May 2nd at noon.
