Devine Police Report Sept. 4-10

Sept. 4
8:09 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of N. Washington Dr. said a suspicious male walked through their yard. The suspicious subject was a short Hispanic male with a white shirt, ball cap, backpack, and khaki pants, and carrying a Solo cup. The subject went towards the Little League field; unable to locate.
11:42 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Covey Ln advised they could hear a male subject yelling at a female. Contact was made; all was okay. The female was having issues with medical alert.
5:44 PM – Officers dispatched to the 300 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a male subject on location following employees. Unable to locate; the subject was last seen in a blue Dodge pickup.
8:48 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of IH-35 N. wanted to report a suspicious vehicle that was at her sister-in-law’s driveway in the county. Complainant then followed vehicle to the present location. Officer attempted to make contact with the driver, who eluded. Pursuit was terminated.
9:15 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. in reference to a suspicious vehicle in parking lot. Officers made contact with the driver, who advised he was making a long distance phone call and reception was good there. All was okay.
9:50 PM – Officer observed a storage unit in the 500 block of Hayden Ave. open and unattended. Officer noticed property in it and made contact with owner, who advised officer to secure it for him.
Sept. 5
1:06 AM – Officers assisted DPS trooper with vehicle pursuit that came to a stop in a parking lot in the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. Driver and passenger were released to Border Patrol.
10:23 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. reported a female was refusing to leave when told so by management. Female departed location.
6:17 PM – Complainant reported a black Honda Civic partially parked on the roadway in the 300 block of Briscoe Ave. Vehicle was towed.
10:00 PM – Officers blocked the Four Corners intersection until water went down.
10:22 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Covey Ln. said a son and mother had a verbal dispute. All was okay.
10:55 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Covey Ln. stated he heard a loud bang come from a nearby residence. All was okay.
Sept. 6
12:38 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Covey Ln. stated her son turned off her power.
1:49 AM – A male subject in the 100 block of Covey Ln. was highly intoxicated and was jailed.
2:24 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Watson Ave. in reference to dove hunters in the field behind the Animal Control kennels. All was okay; the hunters were in the county and were not shooting towards the kennels.
5:53 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of Oak Hill Dr. in reference to an 18-wheeler causing a traffic hazard. The 18-wheeler was removed.
Sept. 7
12:21 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of S. Windy KnollDr. said a vehicle was parked in front of her residence and she could hear noises. Two 18-year-old males were skateboarding in the area and didn’t know where else to park. Relocated to St. Joseph’s parking lot.
10:50 AM – Officers closed Exits 121 and 122 on IH-35 northbound in reference to a pursuit coming from Frio County. Units stopped vehicle in Frio County.
Sept. 8
12:20 PM – Major accident on W. Hondo Ave. Two occupants were transported to Southwest General Hospital.
1:03 PM – Vehicle parked on City property across from Wedgewood Apartments. Officer made contact with a tenant, who advised the truck belonged to boyfriend’s father who was having issues with the battery. Will have vehicle removed later today or early tomorrow.
2:25 PM – Vehicle stopped on W. Hondo Ave. for a traffic violation. The subject was cited for driving without a license and released.
8:39 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Galbreath Ave. advised her son was on location acting up and punching and kicking things in the yard. Subject had to be sedated and was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
Sept. 9
2:46 PM – Complainant reported a vehicle driving recklessly and almost hitting her on Hwy. 132. Contact was made with the driver; all was okay.
3:59 PM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Department in reference to a white Escalade that jumped a fence on CR 774. Officer assisted deputy with identifying the individuals; all was okay.
Sept. 10
8:05 AM – Officer received a report of a flatbed trailer being parked on a narrow roadway in the 500 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. Officer spoke to homeowner who will attempt to relocate flatbed within the area on a wider roadway. The trailer was relocated.
11:33 AM – Officer was advised of debris on the roadway on Teel Dr. Officer removed debris from roadway.
12:25 PM – A wallet belonging to a female subject was found in the 700 block of N. Teel Dr. and turned in to officer. The wallet was returned to its owner.
3:18 PM – A couple in the 100 block of N. Transportation Dr. were in a physical disturbance. Family violence notices were provided and parties separated for the day.
