Devine Police Report Oct. 2-8

Oct. 2
2:41 PM – Grass fire in median due to power lines down at IH 35 off ramp.
Oct. 3
6:07 PM – Complainant reported a male and female attempting to get into SWT building on Bright Drive. Officer walked perimeter of building; all locks seemed fine. All was okay.
11:35 PM – Officer performed traffic stop on Hondo Ave. E. One female and one male was jailed for possession CS PG1 greater than equal to 4G les than 200 grams. One dog taken to kennels.
Oct. 4
1:56 PM – Complainant called regarding 18 wheelers parking on the right side of Oak Hill. 18 wheelers were removed and other were tagged with parking violation stickers.
Oct. 5
2:46 PM – Complainant advised a 3 year old male was bitten by a dog on Davis Ave. The dog also caused damage to the truck’s AC because it was aggressive. Officers sprayed dog with OC spray.
Oct. 7
1:35 AM – Trooper requested additional unit for traffic control due to utility pole being traffic hazard on County road 722. Two juveniles were arrested.
Oct. 8
2:50 AM – Complainant advised vehicle circling the block several times. Officer made contact with driver; all was okay.
6:17 AM – Complainant advised male subject was running on roadway and crying. Officer made contact with male who was transported to SW General Hospital for emergency detention.
11:45 AM – Complainant advised suspicious white van with large number of kids and adults. Driver acting suspicious with a wad of cash; possible human trafficking. Office made contact on County Road 7717; all okay it was a small transit bus.
