Devine Police Report June 11-17

June 11
12:55 AM – An unoccupied vehicle in the 100 block of W. Malone Dr. was struck by an unknown vehicle in the parking lot.
10:55 AM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office on CR 775 with a black Chevy extended cab with two Hispanic males in the cab that allegedly took items from a home.
5:08 PM – Complainant advised there was a vehicle on fire on the shoulder of IH-35 NB. The vehicle had a mechanical issue which caused oil to catch fire and was towed.
7:06 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to an 18-wheeler not allowing vehicles to pass; unable to locate.
June 12
2:10 AM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of N. Transportation Dr. in reference to a couple in a verbal dispute. Couple separated for the night.
2:29 AM – Officers dispatched to Walmart in reference to a four-door green Toyota driving in circles around the parking lot. Subject left prior to officers’ arrival.
7:20 AM – Complainant in the 500 block of McAnnely reported that she lost her phone.
12:44 PM – An unknown vehicle was selling dogs on IH-35 S; unable to locate.
3:13 PM – An unknown subject wanted to report his wallet lost. Subject was not on location and did not answer a phone call.
10:30 PM – Officer dispatched to the 500 block of Ross Ave. in reference to a white SUV on location for over two hours. All was okay; employee advised it was the owner’s vehicle.
June 13
3:20 PM – A male subject in the 400 block of N. Transportation Dr. was cited and released for driving without a license.
3:35 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of Zig Zag Ave. reported the theft of a bicycle.
9:40 PM – Complainant on N. Upson Dr. flagged down an officer in reference to a male subject acting up; parties calmed down.
June 14
12:15 AM – Officers dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Malone Dr. in reference to a male subject walking around putting flyers on doors; unable to locate the male subject.
5:48 PM – Complainant in the 1000 block of E. Malone Dr. reported that she and her husband were having an argument via cell phone. All was okay; complainant was advised to call back if husband made location.
7:58 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. reported a couple ate and ordered food and left without paying, a total value of $31.47 without tax. There was a name on one of the receipts and an attempt to contact the subject was made without success. Statement forms left with the complainant.
June 15
1:18 AM – Gate on the south end of a building in the 1000 block of FM 3176 was found open. Officer searched the area and all appeared okay; gate possibly accidentally left open. Officer was able to secure the gate.
10:50 AM – Officer assisted with traffic control for a major accident just north of the city limits.
11:01 AM – Complainant advised he left his wallet on a store counter.
2:05 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Warhorse Dr. was advised to make a police report about his city trash can that was last seen the previous day.
4:05 PM – Officers dispatched to IH-35 SB in reference to a white SUV having mechanical issues; unable to locate.
11:00 PM – Complainant reported an unknown individual had possession of their keys to a white Ford F-350 pickup and removed a handgun from within the truck. Complainant requested to press charges.
June 16
10:18 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of Davis Ave. reported a 2013 Dodge Avenger was stolen from their driveway. Complainant said the vehicle was locked.
10:42 AM – Major two-vehicle accident on Hondo Ave.
7:15 PM – Officers dispatched to the 400 block of Hickory Hwy. for a report of a verbal disturbance between the complainant and her husband; turned into a rolling disturbance that ended in the 600 block of Davis Ave.
7:15 PM – During the above disturbance, the complainant assaulted her mother-in-law by pulling her down to the ground using her hair. Statement form was provided.
7:20 PM – The complainant from the above disturbance entered a private residence with a fence barrier in the 600 block of Davis Ave. and made entry through the back door without the consent of the homeowner. Warrant will be obtained.
9:19 PM- Natalia PD requested cover unit for a continuing disturbance that went into their city limits.
June 17
12:15 AM – Complainant in the 400 block of Hickory Hwy. reported a male subject outside of property honking horn. Officers spoke to the male subject.
8:10 AM – Complainant reported a Hispanic male walking around the area of the 400 block of Mockingbird Ln. with paper in hand. Officer made contact with the male, who is a contract worker for some homes in the area.
