Devine Police Report July 2-8

July 2
8:19 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of CR 664 reported losing a purse that she last had at the Post Office. Complainant called back at 10:18 AM and stated she located her purse.
8:22 AM – Officers dispatched to Hayden Ave. in reference to a red car with a female and male sitting inside who seemed to be fighting. Officers made contact; all was okay.
12:49 PM – Officer provided security for Congressman Gonzales at the VFW Hall.
July 3
5:01 AM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 NB in reference to a male subject deep off the roadway. The male subject was picked up by a friend; all was okay.
3:15 PM – Officers dispatched to Walmart in reference to a white Dodge Challenger parked in a handicap spot with no placard. All was okay; placard was on dash.
7:20 PM – Officer removed 18-wheelers from roadway in the 100 block of Oak Hill Dr.
6:02 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 in reference to an aggressive driver in a gray Chevy Tahoe; unable to locate.
6:07 PM – EMS unit stalled out on IH-35. Officers and citizens removed traffic hazard.
6:15 PM – Officer removed debris from roadway on IH-35.
8:27 PM – One green Mustang and one yellow Mustang were reported to be racing in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave.; unable to locate.
10:19 PM – Officers made contact with driver on Oak Hill Dr. who suffered from a medical episode. Driver released to daughter.
11:23 PM – Complainant reported fireworks in the 600 block of Webb Ave.; unable to locate.
July 4
12:09 AM – Vehicle in the 100 block of N. Commercial Dr. disregarded a stop sign. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
12:21 AM – Unknown person(s) broke front glass door in the 500 block of W. Hondo Ave. and took money from cash register.
12:03 PM – Officer dispatched to Windy Knoll Dr. in reference to possible shots fired; unable to locate.
12:29 PM – Approximately $4,000 worth of music equipment was taken from the First United Methodist Church.
2:52 PM – Officers dispatched to the 700 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. in reference to a white 4-door sedan pulling into a residential driveway; unable to locate.
4:25 PM – Officer removed 18-wheelers from roadway in the 100 block of Oak Hill Dr.
5:18 PM – Officer dispatched to the 200 block of Colonial Pkwy. in reference to a beige sedan that failed to maintain a single line; unable to locate.
5:29 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 100 block of W. Moore Ave. for a traffic violation. The driver was cited for having an open container and for failure to signal prior to 100 ft.
7:36 PM – Officer removed 18-wheelers from the roadway in the 100 block of Oak Hill Dr.
8:51 PM – Black SUV with paper plate. Officer noticed vehicle at Hwy. 173/IH-35; no violation.
10: 36 PM – Fireworks reported in the 100 block of Mobile Pkwy; unable to locate.
10:54 PM – Fireworks reported in the 300 block of Sollock Dr.; unable to locate.
9:59 PM – Complainant reported fireworks in the 100 block of Windy Knoll Dr.; unable to locate.
July 5
3:56 AM – Complainant and multiple other people were on location in the 300 block of Lee Dr. to confront a male subject in reference to a possible sexual assault in Frio Co. Subject advised to return to residence to meet with Frio Co. deputy. The male subject never came out of home.
10:45 AM – A microphone and TV were taken from the First Baptist Church.
8:51 PM – A male subject in the 500 block of Jack Nicklaus Dr. attempted to harm himself by taking an unknown number of prescribed medication and left suicide note. Subject taken to hospital.
July 6
12:12 AM – Complainant reported a male wearing blue jeans without a shirt standing on roadway urinating in the 500 block of Ross Ave. Subject transported to hospital.
12:30 PM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifters that left the store.
1:31 PM – Two subjects at Walmart were cited and released for theft $89.20.
7:09 PM – Complainant in the 800 block of Hondo Ave. reported stolen tools.
July 7
10:50 AM – A truck pulling a trailer was parked at a business in the 100 block of W. Hondo Ave. and the trailer was parked on the roadway. Officers made location; vehicle reported was no longer on location.
11:45 PM – Officers dispatched to the 800 block of Warhorse Dr. in reference to possible fireworks in the area.
July 8
1:58 AM – Complainant in the 100 block of Mobile Pkwy. advised she heard banging on the back area of her mobile home trailer; unable to locate.
2:20 AM – Officers observed a vehicle with its hood open in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. A male occupant advised he ran out of gas and had help on the way.
9:40 AM – Complainant’s work cell phone was taken by a work subject in the 500 block of CR 7713. Officer made location to home address and phone was returned.
