Devine Police Report Jan. 24-30

Jan. 24
12:18 PM – A male subject took a 24oz can of Natural Light beer without paying for it. The subject was located and the beer was recovered. The subject was jailed on Devine PD warrants.
2:52 PM – Officer assisted with a fire in the median on IH-35 NB.
3:09 PM – Verbal disturbance between a female and a male in the 600 block of Tilley. Parties separated for the day.
3:15 PM – Complainant found a black cell phone. The owner of the phone came and picked up the property at 9:00 PM.
8:51 PM – Vehicle stopped in the 400 block of E. Hondo Ave. for a traffic violation. A male subject was cited and released for driving without a license.
Jan. 26
12:24 AM – Homeowner in the 600 block of Libold Dr. was advised to turn down music. All was okay.
7:31 PM – Complainant in the 200 block of Mendoza Alley stated their neighbor was playing music loud. They were advised to be mindful of neighbors and turn down music.
9:15 PM – Officers dispatched to N. Windy Knoll Dr. in reference to vehicles racing in the area; unable to locate.
9:30 PM – Cars were driving slowly down W. Coker Ave. and being suspicious; unable to locate.
Jan. 27
7:35 AM – Officer dispatched to the 900 block of CR 5710 in reference to complainant’s wife placing a lock on their gate and possibly striking the complainant in the mouth.
12:00 PM – Officers assisted Natalia PD with a vehicle pursuit. Officers blocked the IH-35 exits into town.
12:19 PM – Complainant reported a male subject wearing a gray shirt, jeans, and a black backpack walking around the Methodist Church carrying a gas can. Contact was made with the male subject; all was okay.
12:29 PM – Complainant reported a vehicle driving all over the road with a passenger hanging out of the window. Officers made contact in the Walmart parking lot.
6:40 PM – Complainant reported unknown males inside a vacant building in the 200 block of S. Transportation Dr. All was okay.
Jan. 28
11:21 AM – A white female wearing a pink shirt was walking on the tracks toward Food King. Officer gave the subject a courtesy ride to Walmart.
8:03 PM – Officer observed open windows at a residence in the 500 block of Corley. All was okay; the key holder was on location.
Jan. 29
1:00 PM – Complainant advised he works for LTRA Engineer Survey Company and some equipment was taken from the site on Oak Hill Dr. A tripod transit valued at $1,000 was stolen. Officers recovered the item; charges pending.
6:00 PM – Complainant and neighbor in the 200 block of W. Moore Ave. were having issues over parking at the apartment complex. Both parties were advised to speak to the apartment manager and stay in their own parking space.
8:58 PM – Officers dispatched to the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. for a theft of a T-post driver. A male subject was located and found to have an active warrant and was jailed. The T-post driver was recovered.
Jan. 30
10:48 AM – Complainant reported a white Dodge Ram driving erratically on N. Teel Dr. The vehicle stopped at the apartments on W. Moore Ave. Contact was made with the male driver, who resides at the apartments.
11:14 AM – Homeless male on location in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. Officer gave the subject a ride to Natalia.
6:40 PM – Complainant in the 500 block of Williamsburg said he and his wife had a verbal argument because the wife was stressing out. Wife left before officers’ arrival. Tried to call the wife, no contact was made.
7:57 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of W. Hondo Ave. advised two light bulbs were damaged, possibly by customers in a blue truck. The truck’s license plate was given, and documentation was requested.
