Devine Police Report Aug. 2-8

Aug. 2
2:58 AM – Officers served a warrant on a male subject in the 100 block of Hondo Ave. The subject had an outstanding warrant for fraud and was jailed.
5:42 AM – Complainant advised a white 4-door Nissan was parked in the 200 block of Dixon Dr. by the stop sign. The male driver advised he was tired. Subject moved vehicle to parking lot to rest some more.
5:50 AM – Officers assisted Devine VFD with a vehicle fire located at the Garden Center in the Walmart parking lot. Mike’s Wrecker picked up the vehicle per owner’s request.
7:00 AM – Officers dispatched to the 500 block of N. Teel Dr. in reference to a male subject who was intoxicated on location. Subject was given a ride to a relative’s residence in the 500 block of N. Transportation Dr.
11:45 AM – Complainant in the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. advised an unknown Hispanic male stole two chainsaws from the store. One was an 18-inch and the other was a 20-inch. Combined theft value is $749.98.
12:27 PM – Complainant advised a home on Bright Dr. was vacant and someone was living inside. Officer made contact and nobody was inside the home, but he did make contact with a male subject who stated he stays at the home at night.
4:56 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to an unidentified male causing a disturbance.
8:35 PM – Complainant reported a loose goat on the roadway in the 1200 block of W. Hondo Ave. A Medina County Sheriff’s Office deputy took the call.
8:35 PM – Verbal disturbance between a mother and daughter in the 400 block of Monticello Cir. All was okay.
11:45 PM – Officers dispatched to the 400 block of Monticello Cir. in reference to a female who sustained an injury to her head while forcing the front door to her home. EMS transported the subject to Southwest General Hospital. CPS notified. Assisted by MCSO.
Aug. 3
3:24 PM – Officer dispatched to Upson Dr. in reference to a possible male walking who was intoxicated. Officer made contact with the male near his residence. All was okay.
3:49 PM – Officers initiated an emergency detention on an adult female in the 700 block of Curtis Ave. The subject was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
3:56 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to a disturbance between five individuals. All was okay; the disturbance was only verbal and the parties separated.
4:36 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of Webb Ave. reported that her brother was not shutting up and being loud.
9:33 PM – Complainant in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. advised that his ex-girlfriend rammed their pickup into the building and left in a black Jeep. Charges pending.
10:40 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. reported that two males were seen inside a hay trailer. Unable to locate.
Aug. 4
3:21 AM – Officers dispatched to the 400 block of Stevens St. in reference to an intoxicated male on private property. The male was released to a family member.
3:54 AM – Officer dispatched to Walmart in reference to a male sleeping in his vehicle. All was okay; he was waiting for the store to open.
9:22 AM – A vehicle on IH-35 SB had a blowout. A wrecker was on location and required a tire. Officer provided traffic control.
6:22 PM – Officer assisted Deputy in the 200 block of CR 7710 with a male subject with an axe. Everything was okay; disturbance between husband and wife.
9:24 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of Live Oak advised that there was an unidentified vehicle parked at a vacant trailer in the 100 block of Live Oak. Vehicle drove off before officer arrived.
10:15 PM – Officer dispatched to the 100 block of Mobile Parkway in reference to a possible gunshot in the area. Area searched; unable to locate.
10:42 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. in reference to an unidentified juvenile male who a MD 20/20 orange. Value $3.99.
Aug. 5
12:29 AM – Officers dispatched to the 400 block of Stevens St. in reference to an intoxicated male. The male was released to a family member.
5:10 PM – Officer dispatched to IH-35 in reference to a female Dimmit County officer out with two males fighting on the side of the roadway.
5:20 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Hayden Dr. reported that two runaway juvenile females returned.
6:40 PM – Officer dispatched to the 500 block of Ehlinger Ave. in reference to complainant’s report that her husband told her to leave the residence without allowing her to take any items.
8:15 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Hayden Ave. in reference to a juvenile female acting out. The juvenile was counseled.
9:01 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Hayden Ave. in reference to two juvenile females not listening to the complainant. The juvenile females were counseled. One juvenile female was transported to San Antonio by the complainant, per caseworker.
9:35 PM – Officer dispatched to the 300 block of Bright Dr. in reference to two suspicious males. Officer made contact with the males; all was okay. Subject had been working on property.
Aug. 6
12:37 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of McAnnely Ave. saw motion sensor lights turn on. Officer checked the area; all was okay.
4:40 AM – Complainant in the 1000 block of E. Hondo Ave. reported a male subject was around the business. All was okay; the male subject was using the WiFi.
5:28 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of Hondo Ave. The male driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
7:30 AM – An air hose broke on a train, causing the train to block all three crossings. Officers diverted traffic.
2:14 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Colonial Pkwy. The male driver was found to have a suspended license and was cited and released.
Aug. 7
5:35 AM – Officer dispatched to Mobile Parkway in reference to a verbal disturbance near a trailer. Unable to locate.
6:12 AM – Officer dispatched to Mobile Parkway in reference to some individuals seen on the roof of a trailer. Officer checked all the roofs in the park; unable to locate.
2:30 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of Tuttle Dr. reported her son was inside the home throwing her belongings around.
Aug. 8
10:59 AM – Complainant in the 200 block of S. Transportation Dr. advised mail was on the ground. The mail was taken from a vehicle theft in Natalia.
11:09 AM – Complainant advised a small white car with a loud muffler and rear bumper damage was unable to maintain a lane on Hondo Ave. Unable to locate.
11:42 AM – A vehicle with a white male driver had been parked near Walmart for over an hour. Officer patrolled the area; unable to locate.
2:04 PM – Complainant in the 100 block of E. Colonial Pkwy. advised the business was receiving calls from a given number. Officer made contact; all was okay.
