The 2020 UIL Region IV Cross Country Championships are spread over two full days this year instead of the traditional one-day format. Thank you, COVID. The meet is held on the campus of Texas A&M Corpus Christi at Dugan Track and Soccer Stadium.
Monday, November 9 will have Class 3A Natalia and Lytle qualifiers running their races at 10:00am for the girls and 10:20 for the boys. The Class 4A Arabians run Tuesday, November 10 at 10:00am followed by Warhorses at 10:20am.
Spectator parking is in one of two areas. If weather is dry, park on the fields located across from the stadium on Nile Drive. If the weather is wet, parking at an alternate site will be used with fans being shuttled to the stadium.
Custom UIL Championship t-shirts will be for sell beginning Sunday and until the final race concludes Tuesday.
Meet results are posted behind the home stands on the opposite storage building outside wall.
This year, the top three teams and top 10 individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the State Meet in Round Rock. In previous years, the top four teams from each classification along with the top 15 on a non-qualifying team advanced. Again, thank you COVID.
There will be no award ceremony following any race. Individuals and teams simply pick up their awards near the finish line.
