The Devine Braves Pony Pinto team traveled to Youngsville, Louisiana to compete in the Pony Pinto Southzone World Series coming in as runner up Champions. They started their run with winning their bracket in Sectional round of Allstars in Schertz June 7-10, then the Regional round in Universal City June 19-24. They were one of three teams that qualified to represent the San Antonio area in the Pinto World Series.
These boys played lights out baseball throughout their run. The first game they played Kinder Louisiana defeating them 13-3, 2nd game playing Austin team Hutto winning 15-2, 3rd game playing Houston North-Forest winning 15-5, 4th game playing Forth Worth Brock winning 18-2, 5th game playing San Antonio Buffalo Valley winning 10-0, 6th game playing Medina Valley defeating them 3-2 in a nail biter and the Championship game against Deer Park falling short 2-6. Those that were able to attend games or view the live feeds on Facebook got to see these talented kids in action. They made us all so proud with their defensive plays, their heavy hitting, and with the knowledge of game situations at a very young age.
This team is made up of talented 7 and 8 yr olds this area has to offer. Brayden Mann, Jaykob Reynolds, Aiden Martinez, Nathan Saldivar, A.J Lopez, Logan Alexander, Gavin Pilaczynki from Devine, Nathan Valle Jr from Pearsall, Charles Chavez Jr from Lytle, Alex Reyes from Somerset, Jayden Sandoval, Jay Casiano from San Antonio. Coaches Briana Mann, Wayne Mann, Alejandro Lopez, Justin Tolbert, Bryan Cortez, Veronica Mendoza.
They represented their hometowns, Devine Pony League, and the Devine Braves Organization very well and we are all very proud of their accomplishment.
We would like to thank everyone that donated, participated in our fundraisers, helped in any way, without you this wouldn’t be possible for our boys. To everyone that sent their support thru texts, calls, social media, viewed our live feeds online we really appreciated the love and support the boys got throughout the tournament. You guys were awesome and the boys felt the support.
Thank you all from the Devine Braves Organization.
